My boyfriend and I couldn't be happier with our apartment choice when we moved back to Norfolk. We've been here for a little over one year, and we don't plan to go anywhere until it's time for us to leave the area. Even though this is located on a main road, I have absolutely no problem with noise. If our windows are closed, we hear next to nothing. If our windows are open in the summer, we just hear cars driving by. Maintenance is quick even when it's not an emergency and they regularly keep up with checking on little things within the apartment, and every staff member here is super friendly and a pleasure to work with. We're close to schools, Norfolk Botanical Garden, Norfolk airport, grocery stores, Little Creek base, Norfolk library, etc. - the location couldn't be more perfect for me. The layout of the apartment itself is also great. The only thing I can hear through our wall from neighbors is their garbage disposal and light muttering when I'm in my bathroom - that's it! The residents are respectful, quiet, and I haven't had any problems with anyone yet - seems like a lot of residents have been here for quite sometime. It's not the type of place you constantly see new faces. Also, though the apartments have alarm systems, I don't find the need to set them - haven't felt unsafe since I started living here. I also really like how well kept this complex is. Trash is picked up in the morning (every morning if I'm not mistaken), and grass is regularly maintained so it always looks great. I hear from friends constantly that their complexes have strict rules and rude staff, but not here - I haven't received a single complaint yet that we're breaking a rule or doing anything wrong (not that I'm trying to - it's just refreshing to have the ability to freely enjoy our living space). My only small complaints (and they're incredibly minor - I wouldn't even call them complaints): we have a pink bathroom, there aren't any recycling options, we just have dumpsters, and I don't have a balcony which was just one thing I really wanted personally. Highly recommend - if you're looking for a place to stay, you will not be disappointed with this location!
