It's a beautiful beach if you don't mind LOTS of people! Family friendly with restrooms, playground, pier walk and several options for good food at a high price. Enjoy PURE Michigan!

This place is really calm and soothing! The view is good, the beach and the crowd is nice. I was amazed to see a deer nearby and took pictures. The parking is free and the path to lighthouse looks scenic. Happy to visit the place.

Beautiful sunset..grandkids enjoyed it. Big beach area, lots of parking. You do need a $10.00 parking pass, you can purchase at a kiosk in the parking lot. Playground for kids. Granddaughter enjoyed picking up shells. Public bathroom.

Excellent beach no matter what the season! Beautiful sand with lots of beach space to enjoy. Restrooms and outdoor shower, as well as a handicapped walkway that leads near the water. There is a restaurant on the beach as well as an ice …

There us a dog park on the south end of the beach. You can not have your dog on the rest of the beach.
Yes they do. You will want to contact the Muskegon City Hall and go to there planning department. That is the department that handles any and all Park and playground equipment. I hope that helps. So don't waste your time trying to generally call City Hall and ask them to call the city hall and ask to speak to the planning department and someone there should be able to help you from there. Have a wonderful and blessed Adventure with your Memorial bench for the Pere Marquette Park. Update and let us know if you were able to get a memorial bench or not. Best of luck!
No..free parking at Pere Marquette Park. Good restaurant there too.. THE DECK
The sidewalk that takes you out to the Pere, runs through the beach. You should be fine.
It is chilly most months but you get used to it. In the hot months the lake warms up. You can take your dog right down the road to the dog beach and swim together there. It is called Kruse Park Dog Beach.
No. There's a parking lot to park in that's attached to the sandy beach.
$5 Daily Sun-Thurs, $7 Sat, Seasonal $20. Kiosks take credit/debit cards, quarters or $1 coins available at Beach Concession and Kite Shack. Also at Treasurer & Police Dept at City Hall. City Residents get 1 free annual permit living within city households.
Yes it's open but there's now paid parking.
Lots of room to park. All depends on how busy it is if you are able to get the motor home parked. Just south of there is Kruse Park if you can't find room at PM.
I don't think you can stay over night but ppl did have tents up
No permit required . .
Haven't heard anything yet.
Pere Marquette Park is not gated. It is open year-round.
The Lake Express Ferry Service is about two or three miles to the East of this beach.
No,rocks
I think you can! But always check to see if you need a fishing license just to be safe. Not sure if they're required anymore there only about 12 dollars that I last remembered
About 60 degrees
You would have to go to the State Park in Grand Haven and take a camp site to have a fire on the beach.
I believe there is a lost and found located in the ice cream shop next to the park in the same building as the changing rooms/bathrooms.
Swam at Pere Marquette on Friday it was just fine.
There's a parking lot. I would assume that if there's enough open spaces you should be able to park there. I think it depends on how busy the beach is.
Yes
Was a lot of beach when I was just there last week
Because you haven't been donating to the Repair and presavation of the pier
Definitely by July it warms up to swimming temps and usually most of June too, although this year (2019) it was too cold nearly all of June due to a very mild start to summer.
The Pere Marquette beach does close at 11pm but in all honesty I've been down there well past 11pm as it's right along a residential road and I usually see people goofing around on the beach. Last week (beginning of Aug 2018) there were a group of people having a bomb fire. Also, there's no gates or locks on the pier that you walk on out to the lighthouse either. I've lived here since I was 6yrs old and was a teen when it used to be a huge party spot, but now, over 20yrs later, the city has redeveloped the whole area and it's no longer a teen party spot and no longer a police hot spot.
We held a family reunion picnic at the park last Friday (8/9/19) and reserved the covered pavilion with a large grill. Clusters of picnic tables, all with grills, were in the same area. The picnic area is not on the beach. It’s a shady area near the Coast Guard Station with parking along the south side of the channel and has bathrooms, drinking fountains, and a lovely playground.
I saw a snack counter by the rest rooms. I don't go often, but seems it is open during popular times- in season and subject to weather.
Call Dockers marina bar/restaurant .... People dock there. Theres also an area by the canal between lighthouses where small sailboats and boats go. They anchor and set up water tables around evening.
