Max Luke is wrong. Pier Marquette beach is one of the nicest, well maintained beaches within 1/2hr of here. The city is constantly cleaning the sand ...now to answer the question you asked. There is a lot less beach from previous years this year, buying you stay toward the north end of the beach near the new playground theres is plenty of area! Enjoy!

Still lots of beach. Water is getting warmer.

Pere Marquette has a beautiful beach without all the commercialism of a boardwalk that tries to sell you something every other step! Pere Marquette is natural family fun. If you are looking to shop this is not the beach for you!!

There is still plenty of beach for use, although the beaches there are not as nice as they are as towns within a half hour drive.
