Had an AMAZING time and learned so much! Had a personal guide who was as adorable as she was knowledgeable Had to tip the young one by ourselves. I hope we gave her enough?! The family loved my corny jokes and sold me bag after bag of TREASURE sand! We loved it. The family running the place was as joyful as they come! They allowed a disabled vet like me to carry my 2 service dogs everywhere I needed to go and they loved our dogs. Turned out, they have chihuahuas too. Great people! Great tour! And a fascinating place to boot!! 5 stars all day long.

Are there AAA discounts?
Open to the public! Well worth the money
There are 71 step to the Cavern therefore it is not accessible for many people that are handicapped. However they do offer a video tour for anyone that can’t physically go down the steps. All you have to do is call to schedule a time to see it.
Sneakers, boots, and maybe a rain coat....you go down tons of steps then inside the cave is chilly and water drips on ya so there is some puddles of water
Jolene is correct. $18 for adults, $16 for seniors, $10 for kids (2 & under is free). We also found a coupon for $1 off each person on their website. Just had to show the lady at the register the coupon on my phone. My husband and I got tickets for $17/each. Not sure if the coupon is always available... But worth checking!
Yes she may not fully appreciate everything..but it should not prevent others from partaking. You never have to get on hands and knees to go through..you might have to duck a few places. The general tour is...safety rules..walk down steps, talk about Indians(just to Pace the tours), enter first major room(a few steps) gather everyone and remind about rules again,. Enter main room and information time, next room is where they turn off lights so be towards the back if this is not for you, backtrack next room will be down short tunnel be towards the front for full experience (watch your heads) good photo spot. backtrack and walk up steps look right and next good photo spot. Walk down. To last room. Exit....there are other activities as well while you are there if you would like. ..farm animals, panning for gems and at the front off the main road is mini golf
Yes
In a papous style carrier. A whole lot of steps, some slick. Good luck-it is beautiful.
No, You would only have access to the gift shop, bathrooms, planning for gold and petting zoo.
They offer a discount for both veterans and AAA members. Both discounts take a dollar off adults and fifty cents off children.
Because your traveling through a few tight spaces the emphasis is more about not snagging objects out of site (ie on your back or side) on their natural formations as it will affect them for centuries. I would say small purse probably ok just be careful!
There is absolutely no place to go to the bathroom in the cave. It is not safe for anyone to even try and leave the tour. I would recommend if the person really wants to take the tour then wear depends (or if it's a child) have them wear a diaper for that hour. The tour guide does at one point shuts his flashlight off to show people how dark the cave is with no light. Trying to see your own hand when the flashlight is off is impossible. I would sincerely recommend that person skip this tour.
Look on their website of give a call
Just keep in mind it will very hot when you come out and youll have to hike up quite a few steps to get out so the less you carry the better.
Children 6 or 8 and up are 10 dollars and adults are 18 dollars. I was there last year with my daughter for a field trip and that is what the sign said but each year the prices and age change. That is what the ladies at the registers said to me.
No it's not. Needs to climb 71 stairs and also cavern itself has narrow paths.
about 10 minutes from the Indian cave it's not to far from there
Yes
They have bags of dirt/gems you can buy and pan out at a station outside. In the cave, no go....they're very strict about even touching the walls.
$12 for Children, ages 2-11
The rates are as below $18.50 for Adults, ages 12 and over $17 for Seniors, ages 62 and over $12 for Children, ages 2-11 Children, under 2 are FREE
If you have a AAA card, they give a dollar off each ticket. We went with a 7 year old 2 40 year olds and a senior and we all had a great time
Yes they are always open it's the same temp in the cave always.
The stairs are 72 steps down. Steep, but there are at least two landings with seating, so folks who can't do all of them continuously can take a break. From the bottom, it's an uncovered paved lot to the cave entrance.
I was there recently. The guide lets you get a head start. I have a hard time getting around and we asked if we could head over to the entrance ahead of everyone else. There are 71 steps leading up to the cave. There are steps inside the cave as well. There are benches along the way and also a bench inside the cave. You can take your time. They understand. Enjoy it!
Nope, but there are quite a few restaurants nearby, I recomend the red Robin, it's about 5 miles away
Always at 52 degrees, kind of cool so bring a sweater, you will also get dripped on by ground water also.
No....unfortunately there are 72 stairs you have to walk down to get to the caverns. Than another set of stairs into the taverns. The caverns itself has tight spaces and low ceilings.
It is a full walking tour. Bring comfortable shoes. Lots of walking. 71 steps down and 71 steps back up. Caves ARE slippery. Be careful.
cheers bröther
