I am thrilled with the service I received from Hometown Hardware! I bought 7 keys from Lowes and they didn't work. I stopped here to see what kind of key making machine he had- thinking I'd buy one and hopefully it would work. He took all 7 keys and fixed them for me. I was told I didn't owe him anything. They work!! I am very thankful for the kindness! I'll be back again and again!

This is a very nice privately owned hardware store that is a staple of Hummelstown. Though it has not always gone by that name, it has been open for probably 30 years. It has a pretty decent selection of just about everything you would need from a hardware store. Obviously it does not have the kind of selection that lowest or home depot has, but it is still impressive. The prices are a little higher than the big box stores, but nothing outrageous... The owner is typically working, and knowledgeable about the items he has in stock. Every time I go in there, I leave telling myself that I need to shop here more often...but often forget to..it's much nicer than trucking to lowes.

I wanted what I thought was a simple item, a quart of wallpaper sizing or primer. None of the big box stores had anything, they told me to go online. I called Hometown and walked out with what I needed and got started on my project right away. I did not even have to search the store aisles, I received personal attention the minute I walked in.
