If you tell the kitties you love them they smile

Stop in occassionally just to see whats available and visit the dogs. Really like that its a no kill shelter and that the staff and volunteers make sure that even the long timers are treated with love and respect.
Christopher Bell
An excellent place for the animals and if you would like to volunteer.
Kate Frances
They adopted out my dog to me. Told me he had kidney disease but as long as he took his medicine and his dietary food he would be fine. Took him to my vet and was told if he made it a year we would be lucky. He lived only 5 months. It was devastating. Do better.

Have 3 kittens about 7 weeks old that someone has dropped Where can I take them to be adopted
You can surrender it to your local shelter they might charge you surrender fee.. Or you can put it online to rehome it
I have small puppy less then ten pounds, she's a gift but i don't have money for shots and do you have special for 71 yrs. Young can you help us? Thank you
THEY ONLY SPAY ANIMALS THEY PICK UP. CALL PREVENT A LITTER
If you contact the SPCA directly, I think they will be able to help you.
Adoption fees, which vary based upon the age of the animal and specials and promotions that occur throughout the year, include spay or neuter procedure, age-appropriate vaccinations, free behavior helpline support, a packet of valuable discount coupons and special offers, and more! In addition, all pets adopted from the Richmond SPCA will be microchipped prior to adoption. A microchip is inserted under your pet's skin and serves as a permanent form of identification. Registration with 24PetWatch for the first year is included. All Richmond SPCA alumni (and altered housemates) also qualify to become clients of the Susan M. Markel Veterinary Hospital. We run many adoption specials throughout the year, but the standard adoptions fees are as follows: Adult dogs and cats (ages 6 months and older): $115 Puppies and kittens (younger than 6 months): $150 This came from Richmond SPCA website...
ASPCA animal shelter in Richmond Va
They usually have at least 15 dogs that you can view online. Usually, you can meet with each of them unless they just came in that day.
It depends on the size of your dog.
There are several national organizations that usually help during national disasters...there are also some local Richmond ones that helped a lot after hurricane Katrina. The ASPCA should have information on where you could donate. I know that Angel Dogs, Henrico Humane, Betty Baugh's Animal Hospital, FURS, Richmond Animal League...are just a few local orgs who were instrumental in the past. They sent volunteers and vets to the gulf after Katrina.
Call the SPCA and get appointment to take him in
I don't think you have to be just give them a call and they will help you out ,the staff there are so awesome!
You probably should call and ask them but typically I think they always take blankets and towels
They typically have photos online of the pups available for adoption.
Bring him into the clinic and say you found him or tell them your story how you've been feeding him but he's not yours. They won't charge you for treating him but he won't come home with you when they're done. He will go up for adoption as soon as he is cleared and better. I know shelters are never a happy place for animals but it sounds like it'd be better than the pain he's in now.
You can apply at their hospital for a sliding scale payment option as a client.
Yes! Go there and tell them your situation. Or, post an ad on CL. Hope it works out for ya. 😊
Yes they do but there's a surrenderd fees so call before you bring ur animals
I am looking for a puppy (free) 6 to 7 weeks OLD
I can take him
It is free to the public to come in and look at all the animals. I'm sure any donation would be helpful.
It all depends on what kind of animals you would be taking in. If it's cats and dogs it would be called owner surrender and yes they would accept those, you would have to fill out a form for each animal talking about their personalities and the reason for you surrendering your pet. If it's something other than a cat or a dog they could refer you to different groups to help with the different animals. Hope this helps you. Take care.
You should contact them directly to ask. I don't think they monitor this.
Please contact the municipal animal control agency for your locality. You'll find the government shelters for the City of Richmond and surrounding counties listed on this page of our website: https://richmondspca.org/what-we-do/resources/lost-found-pets/
i don't think they have capacity for 4000 beagles
they do not have ferrets.
I'm pretty sure kittens are $125 and adult cats are $100 to adopt
The SPCA does it
I don't know. Contact them and ask.
I know for sure they take medium size dogs. Maybe not a Beethoven though 😂
I think they open at 12pm on Saturdays but check their website for more info
Ask your vet for assistance.
They never have puppies. Check out oetfinder.com or adoptapet.com for rescues
I would definitely see if petsmart or a store that has hamsters can adopt him. Also try petfinder.com!
Richmond SPCA
The SPCA ADOPTS OUT/IN ALL ANIMALS TO/ FROM EVERYONE AND EVERYWHERE.
While I don't know what that is, all the pets who are available for adoption at the Richmond SPCA can be seen on their website, richmondspca.org.
What are you asking exactly
Sorry. Not able to help.
You can take them to SPCA for adoption. Please go on there website to fill out form first, call them to schedule a appointment. Now, your going to get there VOICEMAIL, leave them a message with your number, someone will contact you to schedule a appointment. Good luck!
You may adopt a dog at the SPCA. It's different than purchasing an animal.
Yes, you can get your pet of choice the same day! However they go by appointment ONLY and ALL FORMS must be filled out on line b4 proceeding to the next step of adopting your new pet. You are greeted & welcomed by a nice staff member to assist in the process, Good Luck!
It can vary. You may want to check around. Some places do it for free, others charge.
go to their website and click the adopt button
No due to COVID and for everyone's safety during this pandemic you must schedule an appointment. You can always visit there website :)
Email them it's faster
I dont work there but I've gotten two dogs from there and I know that all of the animals are neutered
Go to their web site. That will answer your questions.
They have diferent pricing at certain times.sometimes it can be 25 and sometimes it can be 40 or 60. It just depends. But from what i have seen its usually less than 100.
Visit richmondspca.org/admissions. We can also help with rehoming: richmondspca.org/rehome.
I recommend RACC
They do not. They depend on adoption fees to survive.
Yes you can and they can get your cat fixed
Check available dogs on their website richmondspca.org
I'm not sure, but my bill is drastically cheaper here than at my regular veterinary
I do not know, get their phone number and call them.
Does it cost to give the kittens to spca
Are you have to do is called SPCA where are you drop them off and they will tell you what you have to do
Yes, there is a fee, it varies you will need to contact them.
I don't think so, I do know they take blankets.
No bunnies, but they do have cats and dogs! Get them quick, it's run by PETA but they still kill the animals if they've been there too long.
Yes it's a no kill shelter people come in looking for animals and they spend time with animals to make sure they are a good fit 😊also people pay for these animals so it's not like you're picking them up for free to go to take care of I'm taking a lot of cats there and all of them have found wonderful homes
Try the SPCA or the Richmond Animal League.
Just call the clinic and make an appointment, or call RIichmond Animal League.
No but they are a good resource for information about quality and low cost pet services
It's hard to get a person on the phone and its hard to become a new patient. I've been going to them for several years and when I get a new pet that has not been adopted from them its difficult. There s a place calked RAD (I think) and they have cheaper rates then a local vet. Goid luck.
They do, just keep an eye on the website. They post all the animals online, if there are puppies you have to get there as soon as possible because they go quick.
Try preventalitter.org
Awww you can call them. Do you live in Richmond?
One of these cat rescue places will help give her food for the cat
AN APPOINTMENT HAS TO BE MADE FOR SURRENDER
Yes
No, they don't take anything besides cats and dogs.
You have to schedule an appointment to surrender animals. Can't just bring in a stray and drop it off.
Absolutely, take a look at their website to see pictures and names of adoptable adorable animals and then head on in to meet your new best friend
Take her to the Richmond SPCA they will find her a home
You would have to call because it depends on if they've gotten their shots, their sex and if there's anything else needed. It usually takes 24 hours for a response. RAL rescue off of Midlothian also has a spay neuter clinic. Their prices are listed online and are very reasonable. They also have a based on income program. I hope this was helpful.
You can apply to be a client at the Susan m markel vet at the SPCA. They are income based and try to help special needs pets
Yes they have a hospital for animals there at the spca, u willl have to call and make an appointment
When you arrive at the Richmond SPCA, you'll be asked to fill out an adopter survey. This one-page survey gathers information about your expectations of pet ownership and helps us determine which animals might best suit your lifestyle. Please Bring: Picture ID with your current address (if current address not available, please bring current utility bill). Proof of age (you must be 18 or older to adopt a pet from the Richmond SPCA). Proper form of payment (cash, credit/debit card, money order, Richmond SPCA gift card). Checks are not an accepted form of payment. A carrier for your adopted cat or a leash and collar for your adopted dog. These and many more wonderful items for your new pet may also be purchased in our gift shop.
Yes.
You don't have to but it would be faster
Cash and and have a great home
Go to richmond animal control. They are on chamberlayne near the overpassto downtown.
Male or female and age all play a role, but I believe it is under $100.
Yes, for sure. But, there are even more dogs and cats available for adoption than shown online.
Because it's a neighbor, could you try talking it over with them first? Then take it to animal control, whatever your county.
Yes call them
Were are you located. There a great vet in Mechanicville Va. Off lee Davis high School. To fix the kitten next to pecking Restuarant on 360 is a cheaper place we had our lab fix there.
Yes, owner surrender
I understand the adoption but what if fostering? Still responsible for vet care?
If you got your dog from the spca, I believe the vets will see them and you can work something out. You would probably be sent right next door to the vet that is attached to the spca. If you go a little further down the street helping hands clinic is cheaper and I think they will set a payment plan. Give them a ring.
You can go and see or spend time with animals
Im from PA. I was visiting family when we visited Richmond's SPCA. I ,also volunteer at the spca at home. I can tell you that Richmond spca is a wonderful place to send you cats or dog. They have a wonderful way of having visitors to interact with the critters. I love that place!
They take walk-ins too though
I'm looking for a place with a wide choice of dogs that I can adopt I am wondering if the. Spca has what I'm looking for
I'm not sure dear
Yes they do and amongst other pet items
^^ this
The spca and they will connect you to the volunteering department.
Yes they do .. And they have a invome base qualifications. You still have to call them to find out register the dog and for appointment
Their inventory changes constantly. You should call them and ask.
Yes.. there is a stop at Hermitage and Rhoadmiller
SPCA vet clinic is open M-F 8-6. Their number is 521-1330
At ur local animal shelter you can walk in according to their hours
Spca and prevent a litter has reduced fees and reduced sterilized. Im not aware of anywhere that offers free. Please dont adopt this cat if you cannot afford its future vet bills because at some point it will need vet care and yearly exam and shots.
Do you have 2 live in the city of Richmond cause i live in sandston
I personally have 3 8 mos 3.5 yrs anf a 12yr old I usually foster for RAL
Call Richmond Animal Care and Control. They are located on Chamberlayne Ave.
Got a 1 year old kitten from there a month ago! Would recommend to anyone as a place to adopt
They do not put dogs or cats to sleep they do everything they can to get the dogs and cats birds everything back to health they are a very loving shelter you should see them babying the ones that come in. They are really awesome.

No I am not a veteran,, I guee I have to look around,If I can find a cat that would be great too,Thank you
PetCo will take them
I would call the local animal control in what ever area she is in and report her.
It depends on different things. You will want to call them *
What happens if I don't have no money
Call Richmond SPCA on Hermitage Road
Richmond Animal Care and Control could take it.
Thanks. I was inquiring about the hospital part but i did receive all the information i was looking for. Thanks again for responding though
They have both, adult cats cost less to adopt.
Contact the RSPCA directly. The questions on Google go out to patrons
Capital Vet Home Care. Look them up. They come to you and they work with you on a budget.
You can try, But your best way is to look up on line for a Breeder.
You should check their website and stop by. I was there a few weeks ago and the selection was not good. Of course, that will change quickly. Be sure to check out Richmond Animal League as well.
Contact the facility directly. Either by phone, or email. They are very communicative. Unfortunately, these questions are directed to the general public. Sometimes, someone who knows, or works/volunteers there will see it and answer. Not always immediately, though.
I concur with Stuart...contacting the SPCA directly is the way to go. Possibly, if you feel unsure of calling, you could contact them through the website or their FB page. Just remember that each SPCA is it's own entity. For example, the ASPCA wouldn't be able to answer your question.
It does depend on the health and age of the pet in question, but generally it is the same day.
They only ask for a donation. You also don't get the cat the same day.
November 1st, 1-4pm
RACC on Chamberlayne ave. That's animal care and control...if you are in the city limits. Henrico, Chesterfield, Hanover...etc. All have their own facilities.
You should call and ask. They are open 7 days a week
It can be as short as 30 to 90 minutes depending on your decision and staffing.
Well if you originally purchased your pet from there then it's a $50 charge. If not then yeah surrender your pet to SPCA. I hope it works out well for you both (you n your pet :*)
Each municipal SPCA is it's own entity. The ASPCA or the local SPCA in the area of TX that you are inquiring about would be the ones to contact.
