Adoption fees, which vary based upon the age of the animal and specials and promotions that occur throughout the year, include spay or neuter procedure, age-appropriate vaccinations, free behavior helpline support, a packet of valuable discount coupons and special offers, and more! In addition, all pets adopted from the Richmond SPCA will be microchipped prior to adoption. A microchip is inserted under your pet's skin and serves as a permanent form of identification. Registration with 24PetWatch for the first year is included. All Richmond SPCA alumni (and altered housemates) also qualify to become clients of the Susan M. Markel Veterinary Hospital.  We run many adoption specials throughout the year, but the standard adoptions fees are as follows: Adult dogs and cats (ages 6 months and older): $115 Puppies and kittens (younger than 6 months): $150 This came from Richmond SPCA website...

Ditto, as per Mia above. I remember adopting on one of the sale days and it was a little lower than this, but it is still a pretty good price at the normal price, too!
