When you arrive at the Richmond SPCA, you'll be asked to fill out an adopter survey. This one-page survey gathers information about your expectations of pet ownership and helps us determine which animals might best suit your lifestyle. Please Bring: Picture ID with your current address (if current address not available, please bring current utility bill). Proof of age (you must be 18 or older to adopt a pet from the Richmond SPCA). Proper form of payment (cash, credit/debit card, money order, Richmond SPCA gift card). Checks are not an accepted form of payment. A carrier for your adopted cat or a leash and collar for your adopted dog. These and many more wonderful items for your new pet may also be purchased in our gift shop.
Go in and visit with the cats and a councilor. Relax see if you and the cat are compatible. The councilor will ask a few questions to insure that the home is safe and cat compatible. You then pay your fee. Ask if there are any specials on cat adoptions, some times it is. The cat is already shots and fixed. You then take your fur baby home and love them. You can also adopt from local pounds. A death row fur baby would appreciate this and SPCA will fix them with rabies shot at a discount. RAL also have discount spay and neuter clinic cost for fix and rabies is $85. Please adopt. Spay and neuter please, to avoid unnecessary fur baby killings. Thanks for adopting
