Some amazing people saving lives.

This place was just as I imagined it would be…. So caring. I told them about my tommie license plate and they gave me this card. One of the volunteers gave me a ring that she offered me. You guys have the best workers. I have been emotional all day. No amount of stars could ever show how much I love and appreciate every single worker and volunteer here… thank you guys so much so all that you do. And I can also tell that you guys take excellent care of your animals!

Write your local senator and representative. This is something animal rights people have been wanting for years.
Richmond Animal Control will direct you if they di nit come themselves.
There are wildlife centers better equipped to assist hurt birds, too.
No there is no charge at all. We help all animals find awesome homes. Bunnies for the record get adopted out very fast. Usually as a pet for little childreen
Iam sorry that you have health issues i understand having a child on top of that trying to take care of an animal is a lil much . If you're trying to place that animal somewhere like a shelter pleas make sure its a place that don't kill dogs.Q: do you have paperwork for the dog?.. iam asking because i might give this lil dog a home
Yes please!
Any animal 10 years of age and older, adoption fee is waived !😍 Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!
Questions yet to be answered by authorities
Call racc and they will pick up the dog or you can bring it to an animal shelter
Is it a female I know Definitely it may looking for a safe place for its youngins so look for it it's entrance point and set up a trap for it ... Sorry wish i could help...
Yes you can
I don't know if they do or not.
I hope so! I have tons of stuff, as well and will help out with the sale.
They don't, but look up Prevent A Litter. They're low cost and AMAZING
The shelter is not open for public viewing at this time due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. Adoptions are scheduled by appointment for specific animals. You can see all the animals on the website and the live videos on Facebook and Instagram, posted multiple times a week. Intake staff is available 8am-5pm if you've lost or found a pet. Contact information is on the website!
You would need to call the shelter directly and ask about surrendering. Each shelter has specific policies. Good luck ❤️
Not sure. However I have dealt with RACC on dog rescue activities for many years and it is a wonderful organization
Yes they take surrenders all the time as they did with me one time . And to ease your nerves it is a no-kill city shelter and they work with the community very
Yes I am also great please take them to RACC !! They are an awesome place it is a no-kill shelter and for the most part a lot of everything that happened there is done by volunteers.
Yes you can surrender your pets there. It's a shame that you're getting rid of them just because they are biting your kids. Have you ever considered obedience school before giving up on your loving pets?before doing anything that is final and you cannot reverse once you do surrender why don't you have a family sit down and make sure that that is what you would want to do but still obedience school might work.
Wildlife and refuge takes wild animals only im trying to adopt bearded dragons .... I have 4 new custom cages ready to go
They will if you can show the dog is not in good health
No
I don't know, they do waive fees crom time to time, but ask them. It's a great place to find a forever pet.
Make an appointment w PAL Clinic...359-MEOW... keep her inside & make sure you keep her appointment !!!! If not familiar with PAL they are a low cost spay and neuter clinic & better than SPCA...I've used both & had horrible experience multiple times w SPCA. My experience with PAL over 20y has ALWAYS been excellent!!! I keep going back and will always continue to use them & refer ppl to PAL.
No they do not. However, SPCA will "lend" you traps for a small refundable deposit and you can bring the kitties there to have them spayed and neutered for free. There are also various organizations that will help with this, one used to be CatSNIP, not sure if they're still around. All cats need to be brought in cages for them to qualify as feral and to be snipped for free.
U pay like $100 or $150 to get a license for a non neutered dog that has its shots and qualifies. I thinks licensure is half priced if theyre neutered. Not sure if its a breeders permit though
I dont think they can agree to have someone adopt two pets.
Yes
I would call them juat in case. Cause you want to make aure you get the same kind/thing they may have used & to get an actual date the last dose was applied. Safety is #1# concern & no wants any harm to come to your new baby. & Im personally glad you thought to ask for help with this concern. Thanks so much!!
But you must live in the City limits for RACC to take in any animals. Or to the shelter of the location in which you live in.
Depends on where you live, Richmond City vz Henrico, or Hanover Co. RACC doesn't go everywhere. I suggest you find what area you live in then call that shelter.
Also they are a no-kill shelter, in my opinion the best in the city and have an intake door separate from lookers and/or parents-to-be, so should be a pretty quick process.
Depending on your location, check it for a chip & then take it to your local animal shelter. If you don't live in the Richmond city then you can not take it to RACC. If you find that its chipped contact your animal shelter & let them know the situation of how you found the cat. This can also lead to an animal cruelty case.
Try the SPCA.
Animal control will take the dog anyway. They are a no kill shelter so they do keep the dog until someone want to adopt it. The staff is great to i promise the dog will be in good hands.
It's a nice place to go to.
I had that issue also. I put the carrier out with lots of catnip and treats inside.... days ahead and kept replentishing as it ran out. Then low and behold the day of, I was just able to shut the door with her in it. Good luck.
Yes
Pleas call wildlife Animal Control perhaps they may help
Honestly I wish I can help but all I can say is help it safely cross the road or call non emergency
I would love to have it
I have a abandoned dog outside my house
The turnover rate here is high, recommend you come in to see dogs. There is an adoption fee, however if you follow the FB page there are specials for free or reduced rate adoptions
You can call RACC and ask but I think this is for Richmond Wildlife. RACC does not charge for picking up a stray but again I doubt they do racoons. Give them a call and they should tell you who to calk if they can't do it.
I believe you have to be 18 years old to volunteer on your own. Go to their website and click on the tab to become a volunteer. You need to reach out to them and sign up to attend a short training session. If you want to walk dogs, you will need to attend a second training session that focuses on dog walking. After the first training session, they will email you a background check form that you must complete and return. Once the background check comes back they will email you and let you know if you are approved to be a volunteer. Then you have to buy a volunteer shirt ($15). Once approved and with a volunteer shirt you can show up anytime during volunteer hours and pet cats or walk dogs.
Per City Code - Dogs may not be tethered for more than one hour in a 24 hour period. Please call Animal Control and report this.
Unsure of what you are asking
I am not sheltering my Family pet of 4 years care support is all....
Thank you but would like to see a vet. My lil yorkie is itching and i dont know what to use?
$25 if you can prove animal has had a current rabies shot, or $50 if no proof of a rabies shot.
Yes they are great with adoptions and cost can be up to $110 for some kittens. But as others have said they do have events on occasion that reduce the cost
