Great place and people that work there are the most caring. Thanks for all you do.
Latonia Roberts
I think it's very wrong that they don't give your money back when you return a dog back to them that you adopted they don't have to worry about me anymore coming back that's bad business

Animal league is very good there a holly recommend it

RAL is wonderful. They offer low cost spay and neuter. I just got my puppy neutered and the cost was over $200 less then the vet. They are a no kill shelter as well and take good care of the animals.

Hello folks I have a 10yr. Old miniature Labradoodle whose gray/blk who demands attention, his previous owner allowed him to take over her house, so now that I have him I cannnot give him alot of attention , because I work 8 - 14 hr.days.This lil boy overly spoiled. But the one thing that gets me about gim is that he bites me whenever i tell him to do something. I cannot care for him anymore
Is this a no kill shelter and do thay take dogs and do thay still have room for a dog if so
do you have any Yorkies for adoption?
Yes
@pat go to www.ral.org or you can walk in during their hours to see them for yourself
There is a program that will fix ferel cats for free. I believe both RAL and SPCA has the program. Stop the first problem, reproduction. Then call RAL, SPCA and some private organizations to see if they can relocate some or maybe even house some. One organization that comes to me is AARF. I'm sure they have a web site or FB page. It goes without saying. don't feed strays. But in your situation, I may have done the same. I hope this helps.
Broughton's Kennels is an excellent option, I have used them for more than 20 years. They shelter dogs, cats, probably rabbits and other small animals, for a very reasonable rate. I have never been unhappy with the care they have shown and given to my animals. I have boarded pets there as short a time as one day and as long as three weeks. Call them to discuss your situation.
RAL does spay and neuter for free but you have to call get an get app . You have to trap the cats the night before the app take them and pick them up. Trapping a family and releasing by them back in the wild is good for mother and siblings. I did it and loved having them around. The mother and son are left. They are so affectionate with each other. I have over a thousand pictures of the four.
Richmond Animal League
I keep him
Donations are often left in the covered area to the right of the front door. If you need a donation receipt, you should drop off during business hours.
RAL does not accept drop-offs...
The Loving Spay + Neuter Clinic at Richmond Animal League is not a full service veterinary office and can only provide vaccinations, tests, and microchips when a spay or neuter surgery is performed. If your pet is not in need of spay or neuter surgery and only vaccines, you will need to take them to a full service veterinary office.
Yes you have to be 15
I believe so. They do have a website along with a newsletter that I get and I saw that they were running low on kitten food
Im just a person thats been there, you sent the question to people that have visited RAL
Yes
Yes
Hi Chad! There are adoption fees at the time of adoption. To see a complete list of our fees & current adoption specials, please visit our website: https://www.ral.org/adopt_a_pet/current-adoption-process/
Hi Zoe! All of our adoption fees & current adoption special can be found on our website: https://www.ral.org/adopt_a_pet/current-adoption-process/
They will use them.. but I think they need to be cleaned before you drop them off.. and thank you in advance for helping them out..🙂
No we do not take animals at the shelter. We get ours from local shelters
Hi Jeannie, please check out our website to see spay/neuter information and costs: https://www.ral.org/our_clinic/ - For feral/community cats, please refer to the "feral cats" tab.
Their website has a section about how to give up a pet, I'm sure they can point you in the right direction!
Hi Barbara! Please check out our website for pricing: https://www.ral.org/our_clinic/
Hi Jim, we can offer re-homing assistance. For details on the process, please look at our website: https://www.ral.org/resources/rehoming_your_pet/ - Please give our shelter a call if you have any other questions! (804)379-0046
RAL does not take in animals at the shelter. Please contact your local animal control. We pull from the local shelters on a daily basis.
Their website goes into it. Generally 18, but youth are welcome with some restrictions.
They would love to have them
For the Clinic, a spay or neuter service must be happening in order to purchase heartwrom and or flea medications. It is not a vet just an affordable option for spay/neuter/medication services. Also note that medications can only be purchased one time on the day of the spay or neuter. Try the Susan Markel Clinic downtown that's affiliated with the SPCA. You can also speak to your vet about Care Credit which offers another payment option. Good Luck!
Have you checked Out Helping Hands? They are a very low-cost animal surgery hospital in Richmond, very close to Richmond Animal League. Before you surrender, consider this option.
Most likely food. They use science diet and of course money
The quickest way to get an answer would be to email Loving Spay and Neuter Clinic. With high the volume of calls and patients this is easier.
If she came from ral yes just go to office they are wonderful
Richmond Animal League and the SPCA are both no kill shelters.
Volunteer. Donate time or money. They need: groups of individuals to care for animals in the morning and evening. Replenish food and water, change litter pans, wash/wipe down kennels and crates, To stay stocked on cat and dog food. And then of course the best part; when the work is done the animals really love all the pats you'll give. If you are an animal medical professional, they need volunteers in the spay and neuter clinic on site.
Tuesday through Sunday. But please visit www.ral.org for in-depth information.
$75 to neuter
You can always call. But, I do believe they will fix and give rabies vaccine for 85.00. All other shots are extra but are also discounted. If you are on government assistance or Medicare/ Medicaid or a Senior it is free with application. Again call and ask. They are helpful people.
I do not believe it. their website suggests that you take the kitten to your local animal shelter
You can go online to the website. The shelter is open to the public from 4-8 Tuesday through Friday and from 12-4 on the weekends
They should be able to! But I'm looking for a new kitty if you want to rehome her straight with me lol! Let me know if you're interested.
No
I have never seen rabbits there. It never hurts to give them a call and ask.
Take him to the the vet. He may have fleas
You should take her to a local animal hospital. There's one by Q Barbecue in Midlo.
You'd have to call and ask them if they have any room or fosters available.
No, i don't think they do.
The Richmond SPCA will gladly put you in touch with a group of volunteers experienced in the nuances of TNR. They can help you.
Make sure they don't belong to anyone. If you explain the situation it might work out. Also take the hose and spray the cats every time you see them in your yard.
You need to contact Richmond Animal shelter. This is Google.
RAL does not accept drop offs. I believe you would have to go to your city animal control.
Richmond Animal Care and Control will take in abandoned animals. I believe there is a small fee. They will not euthanize.
It's only $35 at Prevent-a-litter. Maybe that's on option?
They receive dogs from shelters throughout the area. I do not believe that they take in animals on an individual basis from citizens.
They do not take random drop offs. They work with a network of shelters as a pet adoption agency.
Today starts Operation Silent Night, adoption fees are reduced and we are open from 12-7 Very easy process
The age and breeds of dogs vary from week to week. Luckily most dogs find homes very quickly, and puppies even faster. The best way to find out what dogs are available is to check the website, Facebook, or to visit. A visit is highly recommended as a dog's personality can't be experienced online.
Yes
Call and talk to the staff or stop by while we are open to inquires
If you are a member, see if the medication is available at Costco.
We got our dog there, and there were a lot of cats, so I would think that they take in cats to re home
