Animal control will take the dog anyway. They are a no kill shelter so they do keep the dog until someone want to adopt it. The staff is great to i promise the dog will be in good hands.
If the dog is picked up by them and isn't adopted in the time period that is set, the dog is euthanized. The real problem is even getting them to pick up or allowing you to bring the animal in. Last year I was so frustrated over a lot of kittens constantly being borned in my mom's yard. We called for months abt picking them up. Nothing happened. I called them last July and said if I catch the mom and the kittens can I bring them in that day? They said YES. I caught one of 1st litter male cat and 3 of the litter kittens(4 months old) arrived there waited for the opening hour. They accepted the other 3 people stray cats kitten and rejected me. Knowing that I was the person they spoke to and was told yes to. I was devastated. Still am. They didn't give a Damn abt my 81 year old mother struggling with all these animals on her property. This has be going on for 3 years. I'm out of money getting kittens neutered and spayed. I can't help anymore.
RACC is a "no kill" shelter if they are full they work with other shelter toi
