This is a beautiful refreshing spot to visit. It is quiet and peaceful. One of our favorite places to spend the day. The trail to the spring is easy to walk. It's totally a family friendly place.

We had a great time going through the cave. Everyone that worked there was informative and friendly. A great place to spend some time out of the heat. We really appreciated how they are really doing all they can to preserve the caves temperature and protecting bats from white-nose syndrome. Definitely check out the cave.

We really enjoyed touring the cave, and our guide was a very informative older gentleman, but they said that it would only take one hour to tour it, and it took 2 hours. My Mom was waiting for us in the visitors center. We wouldn't have …

This was one of the most interesting adventures I've ever gone on! Was a little hesitant because it's actually a REALLY far drive for me, BUT, I'd come back here again and again and AGAIN! Such an amazing experience. I reccomend definitely exploring BOTH tours they have available! There is so much to look at and learn about. GREAT spot for family's, date night and well behaved children. Not to mention the gift shop! So many cool things to purchase in the gift shop as well; from specialty jams to t-shirts, you're definitely going to want to spend a couple extra bucks here! The staff is super professional and informed, friendly and passionate. You absolutely HAVE to come bring your friends and check this place out every now and again. Such an amazing experience!!!

Depends on the tour you decide to go on the small tour is only $7ish and the biggest tour is $85
Yes, price varies, like seniors, military or national parks pass.
The Dripstone Trail is wheelchair accessible. It is a beautiful trail but I wouldn't advise tackling without some good help. The main building is fully accessible.
Yes they are open all year round. Rain does not effect them.
You can just walk in but I would definitely just book it online, they have a list of times so you can really decide when is the best time for you, we went early to walk the trails before the cave tour it was beautiful
Caves occupied by bats are off limits to the public, I believe. Give them a call or check their website.
I'm not 100% sure you might want to check before booking.
Yes, but in the normal tour it would be difficult due to pace. There is a special tour for photographers that allows more time for shots. Look on their website for details.
$13 for adults.
There are about 20 tickets per tour time that are designated as first come first served if you don't buy the tickets on-line.
Yes , just rember to dress your infant warm . It's cold down there
No, but if you want a really amazing time in the cave then reserve a wild tour. You get to spend 4 or 5 hours underground with nothing to light your path except the light on your helmet.
Yes, just not in the cave, unless it's a service dog.
I've been twice, both times walk in no problem
There is no date yet, but we hope to open soon.
Blanchard Springs Caverns remains closed at this time. We currently do not have a reopening date at this time.
The campground is very popular. Whether or not it fills up depends on the weather. If a beautiful weekend is predicted, then it will probably fill up by Friday, if not sooner. Remember that the campground closes when heavy rain is predicted due to flooding potential. And another option would be Gunner Pool Campground, which is also on the North Sylamore Creek.
The caverns are closed to tours until further notice. We do not have an opening date at this time. The campground, day-use swim area, Mirror Lake, and the trail to the springs all remain open.
Blanchard Springs Caverns Tours are cancelled until further notice. The campground, the day-use swim area, the trail, Mirror Lake, and the trail to the Springs all remain open unless otherwise posted. The campground does close when heavy rain is predicted due to safety reasons and flooding potential. Plus, the forest is also open!
We don't have a timeline yet for reopening the caverns for tours. There is an endangered bat inside the cave that has to taken into consideration for the reopening plans.
No the caves are not open. We do not know when we will be able to reopen at this time.
Please contact the Blanchard Springs Visitor Information Center at 870-757-2211 and leave a message. The passes are issued by appointment only. USGS lists on their webpage all the sites in the US that issue passes. https://store.usgs.gov/pass
We are sorry, but it doesn't look like we will reopen by then. We are working on a plan to reopen, but it does not appear to be in the foreseeable future.
The tours will not be resuming by June 1st. There are endangered bats in the cave, so we have to work with other state and federal agencies to come up with a plan to keep them protected and out of danger. There is no opening date at this time.
We do not have a date for reopening at this time.
We don't have a date for reopening at this time.
The caves are closed. Im not sure about the mask policy because every thing I participated in was outside
There is a Great resort called Jack's fishing resort. They have an on site play ground canoe's, fishing boats and the rooms are amazing. How ever the caverns are closed at this time but mirror lake is still open. I do advise for small children to only go on wood path rather the trails leading to waterfall.
About 60 degrees. Path is wet so wear shoes with good tread so you don't slip. Bats are hibernating right now so will not see them. Light jacket is comfortable.
We also have seen salamanders but not sure what kind.
What do you mean?
Great lineage
Their website says seeing-eye dogs & service dogs only, in the caverns & visitor's ctr. They're allowed in the recreational and swimming areas if leashed. And, they're definitely not to be kept in a vehicle while you're in the caverns; it's against the law and it's definitely too hot!
Probably not. There are a lot of steps, especially if taking the long tour. And some are damp and slippery. If carrying the little one, it could be a little risky.
Yes
The caverns will be pretty much the same temp all year round, maybe a little colder but not unbearable. It is arkansas so wheather could change drastically from one day to another. If u are planning to stay a bit, make sure there is no winter weather in forcast because its a hilly curvey road and subject to ice, not snow, wich makes travel nearly impossible. Its still very beautiful tho and worth the trip any time of the year. Only change is defferent parts of the caverns are available for tour depending on the season. No pets are allowed in caverns, but in camping and picnic areas they are allowed, but need to be on a leash.
The pricing seemed sort of complicated, with lots of packages and family discounts and so on. We got our tickets for the cave tour at a discount because we were at the Folk Center the day before and still had the receipt. As for time of year... I can onky say that we were there in early October and it was great... Not to many bugs, not too many people...
The tours were 10.00 for adults. 5.50 for 5 years and up and .50 for anyone yonger. The tours are guided through the cave but there are also hiking trails, camping, and the spring that comes from inside the cave to the outside. Very beautiful and fun for the entire family. We took a 3 year old and a 5 year old. They both loved it.
They have multiple times during the day. You have to go to the booking or call them for times. Book a day ahead online.
Angler's Resort has cabins approximately 8 or 9 miles from Blanchard Springs I believe those are the closest
Between an hour and a half to 2 hours. It varies based on tour guide and number of questions asked on the tour.
There is a couple of good swimming areas there if you go all the way to the bottom of the hill and go to the left about a hundred fifty to two hundred yards you will see a Pavilion on the right and a bridge that goes over to it if you keep going all the way to the end and go to the left at the end there's a swimming hole down there on the other side of the low water Bridge
Side walks with handrails
Yes. I would recommend getting tickets online since that is a holiday. We went on a regular day and had no problem getting tickets.
A service dog and support dog are different as long as you have documentation it should be fine.
The temperature inside is cool, very pleasant, it stays humid. Drops of water fall and you can hear the echo when they fall, in the summer the water has dropped and you can go to the level below, if it is not summer the water increases and You can only see one level because the other level is flooded. Regarding the outside temperature, you can check the weather.
Call the state park number.
Not 100% sure, I think it is dusk during the summer.
15 is considered an an adult.
I would expect all under 18 would have to be accompanied by an adult for a host of reasons.
There was not anyone in a wheelchair during our tour, but there was strollers. I don't think anyone in a wheelchair would have any trouble.
There are no public trails starting directly at the cavern entrance. However, within the full park there are multiple trails. The shorter trails are at the actual springs and along the road going to the springs. And the 23 mile long North Sylamore Creek Trail crosses through the park down at the campground area. The entire park offers beautiful cliffs, crystal clear creeks, a good swimming hole, a great spring fed fishing lake, the place where the springs exit the cave system (a must see), and of course the cave tour itself, which in my opinion is a world class gem as far as beautiful caves go.
Go to the web site to find out cost and availability
If you take the tour they will cover everything about that. Very interesting
Im not sure, but my opinion is the place is beautiful but they guide man says don't touch anything, so u can't decorate and the roads are wet and slippery, darkness, so I don't know if that event is available but u can call and ask, good luck 🤞
