I was late this year trying to make a trip over and got on the website today for a ticket and am now really, really disappointed. This was the coolest place ever but now you're charging $35 each to come swim here? This is not Kings Island Water park or anything even close. I thought the world of this place for years and recommended it to many people but it seems that greed has taken over as with everywhere else :( This was such a peaceful day trip but there is no way I can say it's worth $35 a person. I'm really sad to be taking this off the list of my favorite places :'( So disappointing -- I hope you reconsider now that you've now ruled out many really good, hardworking people from being able to enjoy one of what was the last affordable places to swim.

Very nice. The water is so clear. It has 2 diving areas. NO KIDS. You just float, relax and tan. There is a food truck, shop to buy floats, tank tops, shirts, hats. They offer VIP parking for a fee. You can rent a paddle boat or a paddle board. There's a volleyball court and you can play water basketball.

This place is OK. Yes it’s a great Kentucky swimming hole with exceptionally clear water & lots of fish and a cool spot to jump into the water. Aside from that, you might as well go to the lake for FREE. I used to work here and only got paid 11$ an hour, it was 20$ per person to enter the quarry. They have raised the price to 35$ a day for people to come and swim (which is nearly as much as they make the scuba divers pay (40$) I think it’s ridiculous). You can no longer chill at the nice shaded spots or at ANY of the picnic tables/grill areas that are provided because they are VIP and you must pay 30 more dollars to reserve one of those. When you do lay your towel down on the ground to dry off or get a tan there are thousands of fire ants and tiny red bugs that crawl all over you. You also cannot swim without a float, so don’t get too excited to go snorkeling.. you’ll surely have someone come up and tell you that you must be with your float. If you don’t care about any of this and are wealthy enough to spend 35$ to swim for a few hours- it’s a great place for that! 🤪🤪🤪 I usually love the quarry but like many others, I do get annoyed by the yearly price hike and the loss of “first come first serve” spots that were there in seasons prior. ♥️

Highly recommend this place if you've never been, its a must see and experience hot spot! The environment is extremely laid-back and peaceful. There are designated spots to be able to jump into the Quarry. It is also a facility for …

Yes. Use the Orange hose
Thanks all! After reading reviews, I think I'm going to just stay home and play in the sprinkler....
80-90
No
They have a few grills placed all around the quarry and u can bring your own but what shelters there are it’s whoever gets to the first
Not currently. Used to you could if you asked, but the state told them that without shower house/sewer/bathrooms, they didn't qualify for the permit. So no camping anytime soon. Sorry.
Yes, you can bring coolers for water and food. No alcohol is allowed, due to a law suit where a person was involved in a car 🚗 accident and the injured party sued the Rock Quary for damages. The Plaintiffs won the suit through a settlement agreement. From that point on...no alcohol has been allowed in the Rock Quary, to prevent legal liabilities from occurring. I hope this explains things more thoroughly! Ken
Yes
No. Please verify your info before you post. They are closed during the week
No...they pull it up by your order number or name
I went to Walmart and got a pump that plugs into the car for like $10
not near the park. They have one shelter with picnic tables and a few fire pits. Most people brought their own chairs and blankets and sit along the rocky quarry. Don't know if there's a campground near it....but I'm sure you can Google La Grange campgrounds. It's truly a beautiful rock quarry! The water is so clean and refreshing!
No children. Must be 18
No one under 18 is allowed, period. You have to be 18 and have a pictured ID
Labor Day
Swimwear... It's a lake. Nothing vulgar, and must have a float at all times in the water.
They had to get rid of the BLOB for insurance reasons.
Sometimes we offer camping (like we do it on long holiday weekends occasionally), but not on regular weekends.
No alcohol. Strictly prohibited. Swimmers and SCUBA only.
I think it is weekends only. Best to call them an ask
Almost definitely. They are always open on Sundays.
$15 cash per person
No
There's a free air compressor at the entrance.
They told me 40 ft but there is a small shallow end
It is float to recovery. You can go to that website and you can read all about it and ask questions there
No, labor day weekend was the last weekend they were open for the season this year.
