Thanks all! After reading reviews, I think I'm going to just stay home and play in the sprinkler....
Around the edge it is mostly shallow but has an immediate drop off after a few feet. It is very rocky so I recommend water shoes. It is hard on the feet. At all times in the water you are required to have a flotation device like a floatie, inner tube or lifejacket.
You can walk all the way around the island and at the entry by the jumping rock, but the rest is approximately 40 ft deep. As stated, must have a floaty at all times.
There is one shallow side with 2 entry's you can stand but gets very deep the farther out you go..
We were only in one area and I did see a few people standing close to shore but it appears to be limited and in most parts of the quary it does get deep very close to where you get into the water.
