As a local the science center has really gone down hill.. they took out almost everything they used to have. It’s super boring and not much interaction for the kiddos. My 5 year old was bored after about 45 minutes. I wouldn’t waste my time again coming here for a long time. Very disappointing:(

Amazing place for you to explore the wonders of science . Visited this with a 6 years and 10 years old, they absolutely loved it. Would definitely recommend this place. The planetarium entrance is closed. So you will have to either find street side parking or pay and park in the science center parking lot , which costs around $12. The paid parking lot has many fuel efficient parking spaces and 2 electric car charging station.

A place every child should go during their group in my opinion.. My son alway's loved going to the Science center, an exciting place to take your child. But definitely a learning place about Science...

Yes, we have scooters available. They are $25 for the day, first come first served. We cannot reserve or hold them. We also have wheel chairs available for free.
Yes please make reservations. Helps to keep the number of people coming in down!!
1st you must call and make reservations. They have had other types of parties there. When you talk to them, tell them how many are going to attend. They might close it off to the public just for you. Good luck and congratulations
Eh .. good question im not sure but if u call service desk im sure they'll know . There is limited handicap parking spots near entrance.best wishes
We have some small aquariums with some small fish, coral reef, and axolotls, but not large fish or sharks.
No, the Planetarium has not had those in a while.
Yes, almost all of the science center is free. You do have to pay for parking though. I think it was $12 per car. The omnimax costs to get in and any special displays usually have a fee. Food and drinks as well as anything from the gift shops will cost. About 85% of the place is free to explore. Kids love the animatronic dinosaurs.
This was a lot of fun for my 18-month and three year old to run around in a fairly confined space with lots of different activities. The themes change every so often. It was space-themed when we went.
Not likely. Unless it's not very busy that day. The parking lot has a gate also. May be able to park close enough though. May want to call them to see if there is rv parking.
Open 9:30 - 4:30 according to the website
Free admission, parking can be free if you park in Forrest Park and walk, or by the Planetarium. IMAX, special exhibits, and activities have a fee and can be found on their website =)
Im positive that there is i means there are countless galaxies and planets it would be crazy to think that we are the only life forms in the universe
Yes, on the planetarium side, inside Forest Park. There is a small lot and also street parking. The other entrance has a paid parking lot.
There are a variety of exhibits and activities for children of all ages.
Ask an employee, they can help you. There is public wifi but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to give the password out online.
It is a very large complex. If you tour the main building (stopping at all stations) with children, it will be an hour. If you cross the sky bridge and tour the north side (across I-64/40), allow another hour. A visit to the planetarium show or the Onmimax theater are even more time. Then lunch at cafe with the kids: 20 mins.
Because your ment to by them ither online or there
They changed their hours so now they are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays but open the rest of the week
Most of it
The Saint Louis City mask mandate ended on March 3, 2022. Masks are not required, but are recommended at the Saint Louis Science Center. We hope to see you soon!
Well it has been here for many years so I would hope so. St. Louis moved them there from another location in the County and we really do love them.
The new one ? Through till February. I think. Go now o r over the holidays
Yes, there are there's pizza, snacks and drinks on the first floor, and movie snacks on the second floor where the Omnimax is.

Yes, the Saint Louis Science Center is open Columbus Day during regular business hours.
The Science Center has been closed Tuesday & Wednesday since we reopened on June 20, 2020. This gives us time to properly clean and maintain the building for everyone's safety and enjoyment.
The Egyptian exhibit cost $25 a person if I remember correctly.
Yes , they are! Lots of exploring to do on the lower level of the Science Center for dino lovers!
We paid $3.50 to reserve our spot. It was a simple process and took away the worry of getting in. It was like giving a small donation for hours of intertainment.
Pay parking that can be paid either inside the science center kiosk or at the booth outside upon exit. It's $10 or $5 with a science center experience (Special exhibit or OmniMax)
You can either reserve a ticket online and pay the 3.50 convenience fee or you can call ahead and reserve a spot for free. Everyone in your party needs a reservation.
Our hours, days and amount of people allowed in the building at one time has been impacted by COVID-19. You can see all the latest guidelines and recommendations here: https://www.slsc.org/exploresafe

Yes, they do field trips. Good place to go.
Yes without the flash
There might be people there that could tell you what it is from. You can call them and ask.
It is free to enter, but the parking is $12.00. If you are able, park on the planetarium (that is free) lot and walk across the bridge to the Science center. If you're a senior, on Tuesdays it is $5.00 for parking
There are dinosaurs 363 days of the year. We are only closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Yes. Wheelchairs are free, but they are first come first serve.
There are live plants in their garden in the back. There are live animals in their biosciences area. I don't recall seeing Venus fly traps, though
Free parking if you go to the Planetarium. Your $12 does help with educational programs at the Science Center and in the community.

Pompeii started Friday (May 17). They are also doing STEM activity centers and a video game expo.
It's free to get in. There is a cost for parking and some special activities in the center.
Great question. I really don't know for sure. They want young kids with a responsible adult. I would assume definitely anyone over 18 of course but possibly 16 n up. I would call to make certain tho. Especially since movie theaters n malls have gotten so strict
Admission to the Science Center is free. Special exhibits and IMAX cost extra. Free parking availability is limited.
Yes, about $10, not cheap for St. Louis, although maybe cheap compared to Chicago or NYC. You can park free in Forest Park, then go through the Planetarium to the bridge over the highway to reach the Science Center.
Free to get in. Some special exhibits cost money, the Omnimax costs money. Parking is free if you go through Forest Park.
Admission is free, but you will have to pay $10 to park in their parking lot.
They do. And wheelchairs for any others wondering.
Like a shoulder bag type, not a rolling or hand carry type.
Yes. Until April 14th I believe.
If you arrive before the science center opens you can park at the Planetarium for free. Purchase all the tickets you want different exhibits within the science center and enjoy everything there is to do and see. You can easily spend the entire day there, eat lunch at the cafeteria, catch a movie at the IMAX theater and learn about the solar system and stars at the Planetarium shows.
11:45 am and 2:30 pm
I will recomend you to go early because its less people more chance to see and enjoy
Free to get in and there is a ton of stuff to do. Now if you have an extra $100 to blow on a movie, popcorn, other exhibits. Then you are in the right place.
I have seen many documenteries about the Ocean, science and wild life. There are more educational videos than movies. You can always go to the website to find out what is playing at The Omnimax before you arrive.
Yes, they have beer in the Loft on the second floor. Drinks need to stay in the Loft.
Also they now have a new game room an a outside exhibit
Not that I'm aware of only small lockers.
There are some rocks in the gift shop and some toys where you can excavate "fossils".
If your talking about the blocks that you build to make an arch. That is a free activity..
They have parking on site. I suggest you call and ask if they can accommodate you with a trailer of that size.
I dont know of any music but the star gazing is always a good time.
Give them a call and see if they can give you will call tickets.
Yes. Special exhibits may have a cost, but the Science Center is free to enter and use
The two Mars galleries are permanent exhibits but the Apollo Moon exhibit is now closed.
Yes
Destination Moon exhibit is here till September 3rd being the last day
It ends Monday, September 3.
We have a number of wheelchairs for free to use. It is first come first serve. We also have a few scooters for rent, they are $25 for the day.
That could have been what you saw. If you imagine that a meteor is like driving into a snow storm. when you are driving into the snow storm all the snowflakes look like they're coming from one spot in front of you. for a meteor shower is the Earth moving through a debris field left by a comet as it orbits the Sun. if you saw a tail to that bright meteor didn't necessarily mean it was coming at you but it could have also simply been a larger piece of debris falling through the Earth's atmosphere. the brighter meteors we see during meteor showers are called bolides needs tend to be caused by debris between the size of a grain of sand and pea gravel. Hope this helps.
Sorry don't know. Check they're website.
Yes
Absolutely
It is free admission to get in. $12 parking, but if you park at the Planetarium it is free. Some attraction inside cost, like the Omnimax Theater, Planetarium shows, Destination Moon exhibit, but most of the Science Center is free.
You should check the website to get the latest info
There is only a fee for special exhibits such as Imax, Planetatium. The science center is open on Sundays.
I was there last week and did not see it.
Yes, we are open regular hours 9:30am to 5:30pm on the 4th of July.
No, at least not unless you ride the elevator and are very, very unlucky.
Yes. Hours are on website.
What kind to you have?
Science center is free to get into and see 99% of everything there. $12 to park the car. The IMAX is $10 per adult per movie. The planetarium is $7. Exhibits for toddlers I would also suggest the Discovery Room and maybe Grow. The science center is VERY kid friendly. It's more a a children's museum than a science museum. Lots of hands on stuff.
For the summer camps, it has not been planned yet, but expect the scholarship applications to be available in March of 2019.
You can park for free if you go to the old location, which is connected to newer one
Yes we do take debit cards but our computers can only run them as credit
You must meet the minimum requirements of the state of Missouri to work at the Science Center. There is a young volunteer program. 2018 is now closed for applications, only 2019.
There's so much to do at the science center for kids of all ages
The plane that Lindbergh made his trans-Atlantic flight in is in the Smithstonian; a REPLICA of the Ryan aircraft is suspended from the ceiling of the entry hall in the Missouri History Museum, whis is also in Forest Park (same park as the Science Center's planetarium).
They are not open yet. Likey they will not let you speak with security. You will have to talk to the front desk, then they will relay tour concern.
every first Friday of each month they have a themed event in the evening and show a movie for free on the giant omnimax. it's awesome
There are different levels of membership-- some memberships are currently on sale, most popular is $95. Memberships generally include free parking, free IMAX & planetarium tickets, free admission to special exhibitions.
The imax movies are 10 dollars. And the planetarium cost. It is free to get in .10 dollars to park.
I did not see any for sale when we were there.
The exhibit still had a few things when we were there on First Friday but I do not believe they are still there at this point of the month
Still have to pay
I don't know if they even offer birthday parties. We just take a group to see the exhibits, free unless you include a movie, and then get pizza or burgers in the cafe. You could have cupcakes or a whole picnic in the park!
Pay to park, but the museum is free so no big deal. We parked a giant f350 crew cab in the handicap parking and had no problems.
Yeah! Totally there are shows that are free. Check out their website.
Do you want to work over there or discount for the movie theater?
General admission is free, but special exhibits and the omnimax movie are extra.
Yes, they have outside venues to explore to balance it out just in case you get too cold
Free admission. $5 to park and free to charge your EV. Hybrids also have reserved parking closer to entrance.
