Well it's nice and clean but got started off wrong. The kitten Im adopting was sick and now I'm having to go back and forth to the vet. Upper respiratory infection. Bless his heart. It's all good though. He's precious and I love him. He's on the mends. All said, they were very nice and the adoption or fostering till He's fixed then I'll adopt him went fast. All that said they had a sale. 25$ for cats and dogs compared to the 100$ I would have pd. Is great. It all worked out for the good. Thanks FHS.

We love our baby Romeo formerly "Cody".. Everyone was so helpful and pleasant to talk with for us to foster/adopt him. Especially the older gentleman (i forgot his name)that helped us with Romeo. You can tell that this man thourougly just loves these animals and has their best intrest.

No, you have to get the training for that yourself from my understanding. There are plenty of places to get that.
Yes they do
Hi Jeff, please take the kitty to the nearest vet to see if he is microchipped. If he is not microchipped and you have not been able to find his humans, please bring him to our University North location. Thanks!
Yes they will gladly take it as a donation. ❤ Sorry for your loss 🙏
With all of this money which is being donated to you guys--- why does it cost so much to adopt an animal? On top of that, why do you charge the same for an animal which has already been paid for as far as spaying or neutering. You should lower this price after the first adoption. This makes you look like you are just wanting the money which can be made. Change your policy people. It's way past time!
They coordinate with other shelters I believe (to greatly decrease chances of that happening) however its not guaranteed. They say on their website that they have a save rate of 90%. I understand your feelings...I feel same way about abortion and new infanticide laws...it is murder.
Parents have to be with 12 year olds. The parent must walk the dog. I have been volunteering since last August with my 13 year old, we enjoy our time there. He cleans up after the dogs.
No
No Check the website
Call them directly. They do have volunteers that do that.
When I was there they didn't put most of there puppy are in foster care you need to ask. We adopted an amazing little girl 6 mth and so well trained and house trained
I know last month the senior dogs adoptions were being waved. Might want to check with them on this month because if I'm not mistaken adoptions were $25 again but not sure on senior dogs being waved
That's something the shelter will have to answer. But it is possible that she needs special care, may have a medical issue that other cats can contract, other cats may make her grumpy, etc. There are many reasons but the shelter can give you the most accurate answer.
They only have cats/kittens and dogs/puppies
Yes for the fur babies.
Hello, if you need to surrender a pet, please call our University North location at 336-955-1750 and they can assist you. Thanks!
Yes unless they need to be fixed or something like that where they have to make a appointment then you foster the pet until the appointment and finish it then
They do initially. If you get a dog they update the animal on shots.
Call leave a message.
Yes. They have a place for kittens.
Pretty sure that your vet will answer that. Not sure Humane Society euthanizes. They are a no-kill facility meaning they do not euthanize like animal shelters do. So sorry you are having to make a decision to put down your pet. I have had pets who suffered & that is difficult time. My prayers are with you and your dear friend.🐾
Yes they do, as long as they are clean.
Call them, they probably can use them.
Take the puppy to the door that says "animal intake" The door is on the far right when you enter the parking lot. Someone should greet you at the door but there is an intercom with a button. This will notify someone. They will take the animal inside but I dont think you have to come in. I only did this once but this facility is fairly new and I dont think the policy has changed.
Forsyth humane society had an event last month where they gave out vouchers for staying and neutering. You might try to call them and see if they will assist. The will be open on Tuesday.
I don't believe so. They would like any info you have on the kittens. Shots, where found, age, etc.
Call ask
Just cats and dogs on site, try Red Dog Farms though, or any number of guinea pig specific rescues in the area.
Not that I'm aware of. Please call the shelter those folks will be to help you out.
Please call the shelter, those folks will be able to help you.
Please do take them to the Humane Soc so that they can be nuetered or spayed and given a health check. Then hopefully, they can be adopted.
That's as bad as the mental hospital. I guess that at least you get them healthy for the next go round though they release them but I don't care how hard they hey--- alot of these animals will be released too abusers or users. I am sure that they do the best that they can humanly do but this is just a fact. It's kinda like the CPS. They do what they possibly can but there are so many who fall through the cracks and I really do hate to be one of those negative people but it's not really negativity, it's just reality. These are the ones that I feel bad for. I had someone tell me that they worked for the FHS but they couldn't go in a certain part of building but they stood outside of the door which they could not enter and listened too an animal being further abused (after all the animal had already been through) and told that " you are not so tough now are you"? It literally made me sick to know that an animal who probably felt that his help had come, had to further endure such treatmen
I do not believe there is a fee, you do a surrender. This facility is amazing, very clean and they treat the animals well. Our family adopted 2 kittens in January. You may always call there first before making the trip to ask specific questions, I hope this helps.
Take him to the vet and worry about the money later. If the dog is suffering and needs medical treatment you must take it to a vet. I realize the financial situation but if you cannot afford it, an animal rescue center (AARF) should take care of your dog. I am sure they will gladly help. www.aarfws.org Central Spay & Neuter in Kernersville is a low cost veterinary clinic perfect for low income families. They offer low cost vaccines, spay/neuter and other services.
Have you put the picture that dog out there on next door neighbor to see if somebody recognizes it and may know where it goes or some of you may want it have you gone to the vet to see if it's microchipped post a picture
It depends, but usually $100 to $150. This is determined by vet bills for shots, spay or neuter, and any others treatments the dog had to have. But mostly the $100 is average. Good luck there are so many who need furever homes.
I think they do but you can call they'll tell you
Yes. But mainly items for pets.
Look on website
Not 100% sure. There are dogs that have signs on their cages that state they're "not available at that time". These dogs could possibly be strays...
You need to call the shelter directly
Call any landscaping business that mows yards etc.
I was wondering, because I have been visiting every Saturday for about 3 months. I have found 6 cigs that I wanted to adopt but I didn't have enough money for the adoption. I have also been accepted as a foster parent for the dogs. I'm glad those dogs got adopted, but just wish that I could have adopted one of them.
Thank you for your help.
Yes I volunteer there Forsyth humans society
I have fed and has given the dog water for 2 weeks !! I am not able to continue doing so! I am disabled and living on a fixed income!! I just want someone to come get him! I will give you a call!! Thanks!! I live in Winston!!

Hi Cynthia. We have recently become contracted partners with Forsyth County Animal Control. We are now an open admissions shelter in hopes that we can increase the save rate of Forsyth County dogs and cats. This means we cannot turn animals away. We are on track to save so many more animals than we used to. However, we are limited by space and resources. We do, and have always euthanized for behavior if an animal digresses in the shelter and is no longer safe to our volunteers, staff, and the public. We also humanely euthanize for medical reasons. The difference now is that we must euthanize for space when we don't have the space to comfortably house these pets. We are increasing the save rate already, but cannot do it alone. We always need volunteers, fosters, support, and people to spread the word about spaying and neutering pets! Lastly, we need to be the very last resort for rehoming pets. Pets are members of the family and should be rehomed responsibly!
150. Unless they have some type of special going on I know when football starts adoptions will be the cost of whatever the panthers score.
I believe it's typically $150. However sometimes the fees are sponsored.
Adoption fees for kittens are $100. That includes spay/neuter surgery, age appropriate vaccinations, and medication. This price may change if we have a promotion of some sort.
Your vet and have her cremated or as I did bury you're pet in yard..
I can't speak for them, but generally the humane society will do whatever they can to help you. Please give them a call or stop by for advice.
I would imagine that could be difficult, but I would encourage you to contact them directly to see if they can help.
I'm there regularly and the dogs change almost daily. Many dogs are mixes and it's tough to tell the exact breed. I'd recommended stopping by to see if a dog catches your eye/heart.
That would be great! These animals always need to be spoiled. Some have no idea what spoiled is. Thank you!
Contact the location... i wouldnt call animal control
Contact them to make sure they have room also they will give some names of rescue group that can take in the cats.
Sam, the best answer is for you to call the Forsyth Humane Society directly. Oddly, the questions asked on Google Maps go to the community instead of the organization itself. I think this is odd, and Google needs to fix it.
Thats sonething they may not be able to do.. you may have to call a local vet

This is for users to help other users, Forsyth Humane Society doesn't run this. You can call them to ask if they know where you can go.
As far as I know they don't do that their. But do offer a list of places that do it. Our little girl was already done when we got her.
I know this is a bit late but put out flyers. the day my dog didn't come back I put flyers everywhere around my area, especially leave one at vet offices. I got lucky the lady has went to check for a microchip(back when they first started doing them so she didn't have one) which is where she saw the flyer. Those ones I put up in my area wouldn't have helped because somehow she made it 5-6 miles away in a day or two. just gotta put the word out everywhere you're able and asap. Since animals missing aren't usually stolen you have a better chance of them being in the area longer. So on stop signs or telephone poles at stop signs etc. If you haven't yet you still should try because someone might of kept her thinking she didn't have a home. Good luck.
