I want to give you guys five stars I really truly do but I can't get over the few times I've gone there that if it looks like you have money or it looks like you want to spend some money you get service right away but on the other hand if you don't look like money or not necessarily ready to buy right that second there's no one to be found we just to ago I went in to purchase a AMD R5 5600g find no means big money compared to some of the other things out there I watched and waited by the counter the and the display case where the processors were why I saw not one not two not three but four salespersons walked right past me saw that I was there but didn't say a word but yet there was another person who they were intently focused on in that person obviously must have had more money or look like he had more money than I did I don't want to say anything racial or anything like that but the facts are the facts I actually had to go on to the sales floor and interrupt and ask them could someone help me and the place was not busy at all it was more sales people than customers I hope I was an isolated incident but for some reason I don't think so micro center really needs to work on training their employees on how to focus on their customers all their customers and not just precious few I can't say I won't be going there again because well there any place in town to get what you want when you want it and they'll have it until someone else comes up with something better I'm forced to go there but I know what to expect when I go there hopefully that will change good luck everybody and good luck micro center

TERRIBLE ... had spoken with several sales staff and now understand how this company operates ... why certain items have lower prices than other retail places, how certain items have high markups, high employee turn overs ...

Sure it’s weird and a little outdated, sure they still use those funny little commission stickers, sure some of the employees are complete know-it-all neckbeards, but I still love micro center. It’s the best hobby focused electronic store in chicago and I support it every way that I can. I wish they’d stop giving away those garbage e-waste usb drives because they last a couple months and break. But I love micro center!

Windows 8 is not available anymore. You may be able to upgrade to Windows 10 as noted by Boom Ski. But your vista computer is quite old, it would be easier to buy a new one with Windows 10 pre-installed.
yes it's mostly going to be our Inland brand of filament but if you check out the website you can see what's available
As long as ur account is registered with ur email the should be able to return it due to the fact that they can pull up ur transaction
I heard they were offering free tech support, about 6 months ago. Not sure if that promotions is still going though. Call or visit website ahead of time.
Yep they got it.
Your best bet will be to call and explain the situation
If it's not on sale and you see it cheaper somewhere else, try and get them to price match. Microcenter is awesome.
They don't have those anymore but you see them on the el station.
From time to time they have clinics, they will help you build one with the parts purchased from the store, so stop by or ask directly to the store, it's not hard to build but it's much easier with someone's help
Look on their website and they'll tell you if its in stock
Call them
They have a big lot for parking. And there is actually a security car that patrols the whole Mall
is on the go a brand? check the website.
Rodney knows his stuff.
Microcenter doesn't buy back anything. The recycle stuff for you but he will not buy back anything.
You would have to get that information from the store. That would all depend on the model that you have.
yes, prices are around 4.99 and up, depending on storage size.
Yes,they do I saw it there myself
The service department should be able to do it, feel free to call or drop by to make sure.
Ask the sales person
What Ahmed said, nothing special but can be used on any modern operating system.
Try to google by using the location name
I don't think they have a battery that old you can get it cheaper on ebay
Becuase you are more likely to buy something if you are already in the store. Besides that, there's not much they can help you with over the phone. Place a order online and wait or come into the store and check out the inventory.
Yes, it's called airplay and lots of streaming devices and TVs support it.
Website has a "chat now" feature. Otherwise possible on your receipt?
on the floor
I only found a shareware site - "insecure site warning" with a download link for version 2.4.2 1 by Grassroots Software. The developer link - another "insecure site warning" Easy Worship had a 900 number but no immediately visible link. Turn on your antivirus, try the download, burn it to disk, open it in a sandbox. There is no link as boxed product that I could find. Good luck!
There are different types of gaming PC from basic to high end gaming. The sales people will definitely assist you to get the right product. They offer complete solutions too.
I believe so
You can go to the Micro Center Website and schedule to get your bios updated for around $30 or so. Though you could also sign up for AMD’s Boot Kit which AMD sends you a cpu to loan so you can update your bios and all you have to do is send it back, as far as I know the Boot Kit is free.
Sadly, if it is VR/Microphones/anything else on the blue signs at micro center, you cannot return or refund it. However, you can always try selling it on a platform such as ebay or amazon. Your mileage may vary though.
I had this same question last week. Apparently they are too busy to take calls on a local level. Which is annoying since I had a question about an in store product that gets dropped shipped and only the local store would be able to tell me if it arrived. The customer service rep stated there is no number to call that I would just have to go in.
Distancing ,Mask and they wipe down
Titoub.com I can help
I can for you titoub.com
The guy told me they get shipments randomly
Most likely you'll need a HDMI adapter with a USB-C port
Should be in stock, don't know though.
I would imagine so, but you will be able to save yourself time, and money by looking up how to do this securely on the Internet. Most modern computers have recovery partitions on the storage medium which allows you to reset without much effort or knowledge.
Mine was $6.99, I'm sure their $$ are lower now...
They don't have a number for phone support. I think it's one of the ways they keep the prices so low. You can, however, get support though a chat interface on their website during store hours.
You can check the online store. You just have to pick the store you want to check.
You need to call and see if they have it in stock this particular cable cord for speaker and get a good price for it
So I would say to you just call them a ask them a question about the certain item at that location that you wanted
Yes.
Yes they are open. Was there a couple of weeks ago. You have to wear a mask, and there's an attendant at the door with hand sanitizer that you're required to use upon entry. Also there are aisle directional markers on the floor.
Honestly can't answer that, but I do know that Tiger Direct does, with a fair price structure and fabulous upgrade recommendations for the intended usage.
Not sure, but you can call the store for questions.
Yes, they are open to walk around inside.
Yes the do they have some 720p Logitech webcams there
Microcenter is an apple service place
You can call them and see. Ask for the repair department. If they do there is an initial fee to check it out.
The store does have a whole section dedicated to Apple products so they should help you. I suggest you give them a call.
I recommend you contact the establishment directly because they do not monitor the Q&A section on a regular basis.
Can you please discrib the "end" of the "cable".
Probably, but call them. This is not a link to the store.
I've only seen regular DC motors, but you can check their website and see if they have it in stock
Check the website or call the store. This is not a link to the store
You would have call them yourself they might don't know for sure
They can help you get everything you need. I built a few pc's with their help
So when I was there returning my own products, I heard that the man next to me was planning on selling them used hardware. The man behind the counter told him that they do not buy items from customers. Unless its and android laptop that you recently purchased and have a receipt for I dont think that they cant just exchange it.
Probably not, they sell computers and ect parts and games
Micro center fix some e look electronics, computers and related accessories
Big open free parking lot.... it's a fairly large stripmall
Call the store direct
There is, I've had good results. Make sure you ask for Tech and not a sales guy.
Online and in-store are both equally good
1996. before that the location was a handy andy
If i wan to check of the pc and just a motherboard replace and a cooler how much it will be for it?
Off the top of my head I don't know the specifications. However you'd be surprised at how long like the other gentleman was saying an SSD would go towards performance as well as maxing out the memory for as old as I suspected it is. Also give the inside of the case a cleaning as enclosed heat can also stress Hardware.
yes you can. You just have to sign it over to us but there's no charge for it but you don't get credit for it either
Gotta ask the experts. They know everything there.
Miners ruined everything
This isn't a Q&A with the store. It's for asking general questions about a location.
Does your printer have a USB port on it? My suggestion is bring in the make and model of your printer along with pictures of all available ports and they will be able to help you. To many unknowns to guarantee they will have it, but i can guarantee if any store in Chicago has it, it would be Microcenter.
This is not q & a with Micro Center. Call them or check the website for details on pricing, inventory, etc.
You would have to get that from the manufacturer website
Cleaning the heads via the menu would be the first option. If you go long periods of time between use then heads can get clogged.
Their website has all the prices as per location and webstore.
This is so specific to the iPhone. You should find this at the Apple store on North Ave and Halsted street in Chicago.
