The day room is used for daily prayer, about an hour, staff meetings with participants for housing applications, medical pickup, clothes closet, job info and discussion about house rules. When you enter the building, security has to frisk you and examine your bags all your bags, laundry clothes, shoes and boots, discard food before you're allowed to go into the day room.

My friend was here a few weeks ago n she used the phone and her parole officer was Agent Washington from the Chicago police Department an he called me twice on this phone. She called him alot on this phone and he never called her back. She overdosed not intentionally but ended up in hospital. Now she is gone. I gave away her hoodie from New York n New York city hat. There is a tour that in ncludes the roof garden. PGM is an awesome place that truly helps people. Sometimes you have to hit bottom to be willing to be helped. It's obvious there are some who are not willing to admit they need help.

On Saturday they have tours, and we have a live recording of the radio show "Unshakeled ". The Pacific Garden Mission has been serving Chicago for 140 years, and is 100% privately supported. The PGM sleeps up to 1200 persons a night. Feeds as many as 65,000 meals a month. They have clothing, dental, and medical services for the homeless at no cost. Many people overcome their addiction and accept the free gift of salvation through our Lord Jesus. Just call ahead if you have a large group or if you would like to volunteer.

I propose that if you're serious about your care that you consider joining one of their programs. I do not believe they forced you to sleep in chairs for getting there late, nor do I believe they refused to feed you(see Mr. Robinson's comment about bag lunches above), especially if you spoke to a staff member and not a Danmark security guard(who should be providing you service anyway). They can they help u get an id and have programs for a long-term stayas well the general stay is 30 days though and extension but the programm in the end help u get a job and housing and learn about God and walk like a real Christian

This is a shelter for the homeless. You can't come and sit there. You have to come legally and I hope you bring some money. It is not easy in the big city.

Church service is always at 7p so dinner is abt 5p. I would like to add that a few churches provide boxed, covered snacks and cooked meals outside. Appx 1p but cannot say it is every Sunday or exact time. The food is delicious. 👍🙏 You cannot take food inside.

From what i saw there were graduates who went on to excellent fulfilling jobs, it seemed to me that those who were in rehab there became family, close family. I never went there for that I went because I love the spiritual aspect. Awesome place. You will be fulfilled if your accepting of GOD.

On Saturdays, throughout the year, you can visit the mission. It is free for anyone to come, without invitation or reservation to my knowledge.
