It's amazing, all the experience of/and in the valley park is wonderful, joy, fun and knowledge are part you can live on it. All the difficult levels of hike, bike and climb. I think the whole experience is doing camping there.

This town is so different and unique. Fun place to visit for an eye opener. You will be driving from the country road into a unique architecture setting. Your first word is...and your eyes will deceives you for few minutes of mesmerizing. You first taste of Swedish in California.

Nice that it's finally open (was closed during COVID, although the Art Gallery and stores were letting people in shoulder-to-shoulder), and neat to see the relief map of the entire valley! 🏞 Def recommend the Junior Ranger program -- check the schedule for when to have a Ranger swear them in as Jr Rangers!!

This park is absolutely incredible. The shuttles and maps make everything easy to navigate. There's something for every skill level.

The Yosemite Valley is open year round and several trails are also open. The Majestic Yosemite Hotel and The Lodge serve a Thanksgiving Dinner, but reservations are required. There are also a few campground sites that are open year round. Check out www.nps.gov/yose for more info.
There is plenty to see in Yosemite year round! Winter weather does mean that the "high country" is inaccessible by vehicle. You can see Glacier Point from the valley floor, but may not be able to drive up to the top. There are at least 3 falls that you can get to from the valley, with varying degrees of difficulty. From easiest to hardest, they are Yosemite Falls (base), Bridal Veil falls, and Vernal Falls. All are walks/hikes that can be completed in a few hours. The Grand Majestic Hotel has a beautiful lobby and lounge, and offers free tours. Half Dome Village should still be running their out door ice rink, and has a large cafeteria that offers made-to-order pizza, and other snacks and beverages. Half Dome is most beautiful from the valley floor, especially at sunset, as it is the last thing the sun touches. Local wildlife are also a wonder to observe, and most can be seen at close distance, as they are somewhat accustomed to people. They are still wild and should not be fed.
You'd be best to contact the visitors center directly. They have the first hand view!
Catheys valley or mariposa is your best bet
I have no idea but what I can tell you is don't ask at the Welcome Center for hotel info. They book a room for us and it was an very dirty place!
I think you should take a tour bus. They can go places you are not allowed to drive and the shuttle will get you around the park too. May can have snow near the access point to the park or at higher elevations. I was just there a few days ago, lots of cars in the valley area and road work. Check with the park in advance to see which roads may be closed.
Both.
The Merced River splits the meadows. South of the river is Sentinel Meadow and north of the river is Cooks Meadow.
Hike Lower falls (1 mile pretty flat/easy) or upper falls(3.5 uphill) for a workout. Can stay just outside (1hr)in mariposa if its too busy inside

Yosemite is open but toll booth, ranger station and some area are closed. According to the forecast, it'll be snow this weekend. If it's correct you need to bring snow chain. You want more information you can find here. https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/conditions.htm
Unless the State is stepping in (a la Florida), all NPS facilities are closed. I know the question was specific but simply wanted to illustrate that Key Biscayne and Everglades are accessible but well below full service.
We visited the park in early Oct 2018, and everything was open. There were large areas where there were burnt black trees and we could still smell the smoke in the air, but the fires were out. But even so, it was BEAUTIFUL and wonderful to experience in person! Worth seeing in person. Depending on what happens over the winter/spring (snowfall-hopefully) and rainfall (hopefully- so there are no new fires...) the park will be open. Have a wonderful trip!
I don't know for chain. But be carefull I heard that one road close in winter.
If you don't mind a crowded neighborhood
Glaciaer point .....
During Memorial Day there is usually beautiful sunny weather. As far as lodging, the Valley itself offers a wide variety of accommodations. However, if you are looking to stay outside of the Valley, Yosemite View Lodge is just a short drive up CA-140 in El Portal and Yosemite Rush Creek Lodge a few miles outside of the Valley on CA-120.
I take my 28 ft in all the time lots of room to spare. Both the east and south entrances.
Bridal veil, Yosemite falls are close by there similarly many hikes all over the park you can explore
Highway 120 going over to Mono Lake usually doesn't open until after Memorial Day. The road going up to Glacier Point most likely won't open until then either. It's all snow dependant. The valley will be open.
Its a long drive to anything not on Tioga road (its 45+ minutes to the valley). Also its doubtful that that campground will be accessible by car in April. Tioga road didnt open til July this year.
You can only use a generator in the campground and there are specific times. In upper pines is 7am-9am, 12-2pm, 5pm-7pm. You'll be given the information in your campground flyer on check in.
Yes! They are open from 8am to 5pm and it is absolutely beautiful this time of year!
Recreation.gov is the website. Have a great trip!
The park is open. Yosemite Valley (where the waterfalls are) is also open. Butterfly Groove (Sequoias) is closed
