Alright highly under rated spot in the park. Will definitely say they have the best food here also. Lots of options and everything is made fresh at the counter. Cool coffee shop as well. They serve Peets coffee, have lots of snacks, a cool fireplace area to eat indoors and plenty of picnic tables outside. Also this is one of the very FEW areas in the park with operable cell service. Get what you can and stay inside the village. Driving to el portal is a waste of time and they don’t have cell service nor a grocery store. Grocery shopping is best done inside the park.

I expected a little bit more from this place. The food was pretty gross, which I would expect in a national park like Yosemite there would be a little bit of a healthier option, and be more prepared for the crowds. The line was ridiculous and not moving, the food was nasty and unhealthy, and expensive. Maybe offering some grab and go options and healthier quicker choice could be a little bit better of a solution for people preparing for long hikes. Glad we brought our own food and snacks.

The food is pretty good and reasonably priced. A big bag of chips was only $0.75 more here than at my local grocer. Get the pizza if you want the fastest service. More importantly, from my point of view anyways, the beer and seltzers were barely above the retail cost. Enjoy your time in the public lands and try not to be completely petrified by the terrifying heights on the way out.
