we are planning in visiting Yosemite valley for a couple hours first week of august 2021, is it open and as seniors we would like to drive through. Can we do it with no obstacles?

Yes you can. However a reservation is required which can be found on the NPS website...(note this is different from having a national park pass or even a camp reservation) Tickets open up 2 weeks before at 8am PT
