The tour was really cool, the guides are very knowledgeable and friendly, the cave itself was super cool and the waterfall was amazing along with the light show. Definitely a must see, the whole tour lasts roughly an hour, overall it was a pleasant experience that I definitely recommend and wouldn't mind going for a second or even a third time.

Very special place to visit, would of been better if not hurriedly toured. If you’re in the area it’s got to be on your list to do. Pictures are great but to see in person is definitely worthwhile. I would have paid more for an extended tour but not a readily available option. Even though you’ll feel somewhat rushed through the guided tour it’s still well worth it.

Ruby falls was amazing! Definitely purchase your ticket before you go. There are tour times, we went 30 minutes earlier as we wanted to experience the overlook of the Tennessee river. Beautiful view! The tour was amazing and the Waterfalls breath taking. Def recommend people to visit this place. It's def worth the money.

My cave walk to Ruby Falls. As soon as I stepped into the elevator and was told that we were going 260 feet underground I felt like I was voluntarily being buried alive. I started my relaxation breathing! 😬 While walking through low, narrow pathways of rocks, the guide casually mentioned that the amount of cave above us was equivalent to the height of the Empire State building. That triggered even more anxiety and claustrophobia. But I was all in at that point and I had to breath through it. The beautiful rock formations of the cave gave me the distraction I needed. When I passed by little pockets of open spaces I thought of how nice it would be to set up candle/lantern lit dinners for 2 in those spots. The waterfall was amazing. And its unknown water souce made it as mysterious as it was beautiful. ❤ 💧 Add to your "To Do List" if you're ever in the Chattanooga area.

There are multiple location discounts and military discounts. I think if you buy tickets at Rock City, it's actually cheaper
Around $20 dls and includes a guided tour
Hi Diane, We have four shaded outdoor kennels available for guests' furry sidekicks while their humans tour the cave. Only trained service animals are permitted in the cave. The kennels are available seasonally on a first-come first-serve basis. We recommend you bring a bowl of water and whatever else will keep your dog comfortable in the kennel. Have a great visit!
Yes they are. Hopefully you get a good guide who will take their time and explain the different formations along the way
I think it is always romantic there. Just because of the fact mr. Mark's named it for his life sweetheart.
Not directly near it but there are places around there to camp out. Beautiful waterfall . Be sure to make a wish in the mirror pond inside the cave when u go. Have fun be safe.
Hi Amy, Some great tips have already been shared! We do recommend you purchase your tickets online before you arrive because tours fill quickly and sell out. The Classic Waterfall Tour takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes once it begins. Depending on when you visit, there will be a wait for your turn to take the elevator into the cave. The wait is shorter in the mornings before 9 AM and after 6 PM (around 15 minutes) and can be as long as 45-minutes on peak weekends between 11AM - 5 PM. Safe travels! We look forward to your visit. The Ruby Falls Team
In the gift shop sure, in the cave? No, it wouldn't fit or roll properly. There are also several small sets of stairs and you'll be passing other people walking in the passageways
There is an "adventure" where you find santa in a part of the tunnels that you aren't aloud to go in unless for certain events
There are combo passes with Rock City and/or the Incline Railroad that will save a few bucks over individual pricing. Ruby Falls and the rail ride are less than 2 hours each, even taking your time, so plan on doing multiple activities that day.
$ 27 per adult
You have 2 options you buy it online or you buy it when you are in Ruby falls
They give you 30 minutes, then will refund you. It is perfectly necessary to control the crowd flow. Only so much room in a cave
Hi there, Ruby Falls Cave Walks tickets are $22.95 for adults and $12.95 for kids ages 2-11. You'll want to be sure to get your tickets in advance online several days before you plan to visit because tours sell-out. Also, with COVID-19 precautions, tickets are sold only at rubyfalls.com and not onsite at Ruby Falls. We look forward to your visit and sharing the beauty underground with you! Never stop exploring, The Ruby Falls Team P.S. If your schedule is flexible, you may might want to check out the dates for Lantern Tours. It is after-hours tour on Friday nights where guests get to explore the cavern trail to the waterfall using only the light from hand-held lanterns. This tour always sells out because it's an unusual way to see the cave and waterfall.
Children prices are ages 3 to 12 https://www.rubyfalls.com/plan-your-visit/#:~:text=Admission%20is%20limited%20to%2020,not%20wear%20a%20face%20covering.
It's not an option, but you could call the owner and see how much getting a plot would be if you're super serious about it.
Due to health guidelines, pets are not allowed on the Ruby Falls tour.
Maybe call them or check their website
Hi Jessica, Thanks for asking about bringing your dog to Ruby Falls. We have 4 outdoor kennels available on a first come first serve basis for guests to use for their dogs while they tour the cave. We are unable to permit dogs in the cave. The kennels are complimentary for our guests, just stop by the ticket desk, let us know you'd like to use one for your pup and we'll lend you a lock for the kennel. You are welcome to bring a dog bed or whatever else will make your pooch comfy. The kennels are not available when winter weather makes outdoor time unsafe for pets. Safe travels! The Ruby Falls Team
It comes in from the top of the mountain in beautiful Chattanooga Tennessee what a beautiful sight
It says $20 on the website... https://www.rubyfalls.com/things-to-do/high-point-aerial-adventure/
Yes!
No, if its small use a baby carrier fromt ir back bjourn(?) Plus theres steps n stairs
Hi there, Thanks for asking. The cavern trail may be challenging for guests with mobility concerns. The round trip to the waterfall is just under one mile on a paved trail. Some areas of the trail can be a little slippery and there are a handful of stairs. Members of your party who decide not to take the tour are welcome to relax at Ruby Falls in comfortable chairs on the front porch of the Ruby Falls Castle or at the Cavern Cafe. Safe travels, The Ruby Falls Team
Its not for camp .its a tour under ground you must see the beutiful waterfall, the cost just $ 23.00 for adult And for children $ 13.00
Yep! The earlier you go the better the experience. It's nice when nobody else is really there
Google it. The best way to look at it in the map and know the distance. Enjoy
Yes they are welcome, it's unlikely that you'll need the service dog paperwork.
Yes, they're open every day of the year except Christmas day from 8AM-8PM.
Hi Nguyen, You've already had some great info from guests it looks like. Rainy days are the BEST days to visit! Rain makes the waterfall especially beautiful. Because we are inside of a cave, we are open during almost all weather and guests are protected from the weather. When we get excessive amounts of rain, there are areas on the cavern trail that can flood due to the streams that also run through the cave to the Tennessee River and we temporarily close while we wait for mother nature to do her thing. We post on our Facebook page (@RubyFallsCave) if we have a rare weather related closing. You can always call us too. Hope you have a great visit and are especially lucky to visit on a rainy day. Safe travels.
Hi betty
No, just like Sarah said you have to be in a guided tour. Like I mentioned in my review there are a lot of interesting things to see and do in Chattanooga and I recommend not making Ruby Falls top of your list of things to see.
If I think I would have to load it. And also if there are many people visiting the place, it costs a lot to go inside the waterfall and it gives you a few minutes inside it. But in general it is a very nice place and there are other attractions there.
The kennels are by the zip line area. Completely shaded. It was hot when we were there, but we walked right past them and the dogs seemed very happy.
It is 19.95 dollars for an adult, so around 40 or so.
8am-8pm Closes 5pm Christmas Eve and stays closed Christmas Day. ZIPstream hours vary, so check their website for that. edit: i just saw someone posted this answer already ignore me
I would think that the hard rain we had would've contributed to the shut down. However give them a call and they will tell you.
Yes if you get dripped on by the formations. The guide called it "cave kisses".
Yea. They have a haunted cavern that is really popular in october. Rock city has christmas lights in december as well.
$20 per person for the tour, don't know about the pass
Fallow the signs on the ruby falls. They are usually big reds and will take you to the falls.
It waz $22 with the tax. I was just there August 31, 2017.
19.99$ for adults. One visit is included and nothing more. If planning to see Rock city and incline buy triple pack which will save few bucks
Yes, during the weekend, but not on Thanksgiving.
Any weekday should be better than a weekend. They can move a lot of people throughout the day,so a classroom should not be a problem.
The tour of the cave is 4/5 of a mile.
