We visited the Friendship APL a few weeks ago to see what animal would fit right for my mother-in-law. This wonderful young lady took the time to answer all of our questions. Help us meet dogs and cats that were fitting the needs we are looking for. Since my mother-in-law cannot get around much she wanted a companion to be able to spend her days with. The girl helped her meet the most loving cat that needed that extra love to gain some weight from what ever story they had before mom decided that she was hers. The young lady with the bug tattoos even helped us bring my mother-in-law's new friend to the car. I recommend spending time like this girl said and to find the right animal that feels like home.

Such a great organization that truly loves animals and finding them homes. They gave us a lot of time with River, a female beagle mix, before she came home with us; I wanted to be sure that we were all the right fit. We came back the next day and adopted our girl…that was almost a year and a half ago. We’ll definitely be back!

Got our new family member. The people that work here definitely get hugs for making it such a rewarding experience. Our dog was found pregnant and therefore a foster mom was involved for 2 months. We got our girl after the pups were weaned and she was spayed. Thanks to the foster mom, we have a dog that is trained. No accidents. Thank you

Got my boy Roman here. He's a great senior dog, love him so much. Can't wait to take him in hikes in the summer.

The will take everything from food to blankets to old newspaper
Yes, everyone bring your stuff here.
Yes you can interact with them depending on their age they can volunteer to help the animals walk them sit and play with them.
APL has a great trap and release program. They trapped a stray that kept having kittens around my house, now she my cat and I love her! They are very helpful especially Sue.
Just make an appointment to have the dog evaluated. They will keep it when its a positive outcome
Take it in. Everyone else is thinking someone else is doing something and nobody is. But call, get that poor animal to a shelter somewhere. Good on you for being proactive like that. If you can't catch it, get a trap and contact a TNR group if it is a cat, not these guys. Because they will just euthanize it if it's fully feral, all shelters ultimately do with ferals which is why TNR programs are more successful. Good luck.
Yes they do except dog & cat treat donations.
Call the APL and claim your pet.
Call first but I am sure they will find her a good home
They are a very busy shelter, i suggest you just keep trying it's worth it.
I'm not sure you would have to call them
Yes but if you rent you need a letter from your landlord you can have cats/dogs
I really don't know. The best thing to do is go up their, or call. Sometimes they do get busy a lot.
I believe it's 16 you can be younger but you have to be accompanied by an adult
Yes you can! Orientation is on the Second Saturday of every month at 10:00am.
If you really can't afford the price of the cat let the FAPL know. Someone might sponsor the adoption fee.
Unsure. Call them for better info
Cats and kittens are spayed/neutered as well as screened for FIV, FeLV, and other health concerns.
They DO NOT ship dogs!!!!
Yes an ID is required. I took stray cats to them. They were kind and welcoming.
All pets that you adopt are fixed and vaccinated. If you're trying to get your own animal vaccinated you would need to contact them to schedule it.
We paid 70 for a female cat to be fixed
I would give them a call directly. We just adopted from there and they were really great. I'm sure they will help you.
Not sure, but I know MBR in Grafton is still doing volunteer orientation. Must wear masks! Check there website.
They are on face book
They had pop cans at the donate site last time I was there to donate
And by appointment only
All donations can be left outside the front door.
Yes, it's called "trap, neuter, return" . How it works is... You can rent a live trap from them for a security deposit and then you bring the cat to them to be spayed or neutered and vaccinated at a significantly lower price than normal. It's only for strays. Not for pets. They tip (remove the top 1/4”) the left ear to serve as a signal to other people that this cat has already been fixed. Then they give the stray back to you so you can return it to it's home territory and the cat can live out it's life without reproducing or getting the diseases prevented by the vaccines. I've done this at other shelters more than I have at this one (only once here) so I believe everything I've said is accurate, but contact them directly to double check
Had dogs, cats other cages but I did not see what t Was there..call for.info

Adoptable Dogs Puppies (Less than 7 months): $250 Dogs (7 months to 7 years): $125 Small Dogs (20 pounds or less): $150 Senior Dogs (8 years and older): $50
Check their website. Goto the careers section.
I don't work there I don't know
Senior dogs are $50 the majority of dogs are 125 and puppies are 250
I believe most shelters will accept gently used pillows as long as they are washed and not torn. Some shelters wash items that are donated.
Contact the police department and dog warden of the city that the dog is being kept in.
Yes..call them and they will arrange that. They encourage it.
they have all kinds of dogs, you just have to go there and look. you can try checking their website too
The vet on oberlin ave and tower will let you make payments and they are really good
I got my dog from there. Shes wonderful. The APL does have cats there. You'd need to call to ser if they have room or their drop off rules
I know they take food and bedding for sure cause I've seen it stacked up there.....best to call them and they can tell you what they take.....
The number listed for them and they will get you to the right person there to answer your question
Call and talk to them to make arrangements.
Lisa they will take a cat but they require a fee to cover the vet check up ,shots, food, and housing until it is adopted the fee is usually 30 but well worth it because they make sure that it goes to a loving home. I surrendered 11 that where struggling in the cold last winter they took them all and all were successfully adopted.
You will have to call and probably go in fill out the paperwork to be approved. They are very strick about thier adoptions to PROTECT the animals.
They have listings and pictures on their website or you can call them
Call first but most likely they will take tgem
I would call them.
I would strongly recommend looking into who you're sponsoring an adoption fee for. If someone truly wants to an animal they need to be prepared for the costs. The adoption fee is not that expensive. How is that person going to take care of that animal? Is it really going to a good home?
You go in find the animal of your choice and fill out papers. If you rent you must have letter from landlord showing you can have desired pet. But if I can say something a I'd go to the no kill shelter in Brookpark diagnol from Walmart it's called Parma SPCA. They are cheaper and all the animals I have gotten from them especially cats and kittens have been so well behaved. But if you choose this place that's what you need oh and proof of residency.
You can call them Monday morning
Quick fix, Medina, ohio
Most vets have programs to help with this.
Check the website.
No chage as far as i know. I hear they charge a fee for dogs though i could be wrong
They want you to call and make an appointment to drop off so they can collect a history etc and a small fee will be charged.
They are private, independent, nonprofit organization in Lorain County.
It depends on what the furniture is, and if it would be useful to their cause. You would need to contact them directly for more in depth info on specific furniture. They do readily accept animal food, towels, toys, and the like.
It's possible that they got adopted the next day. Call during open hours.
The corsos will not be up for adoption until we win the Humane case. The case is ongoing and we just only got granted permission from the judge to put them in Foster. However, they're are many wonderful large breeds up for adoption right now. You should take a stroll in and meet the doggos waiting in the shelter.
You can call but i would suggest going there in person. If someone did drop her there it would be better to be there in person.
Oberlin animal hospital, Douds Veterinary Clinic & Fox's Veterinary.
Khahjiit have the feline if you have the coin...
No that's a shelter for animals. You have to go there when they open. Because the sheriff's watch they are everywhere. So please wait until they open. And those questions to the staff.
Bryn is correct.
No, but please continue to register formal complaints with the police, so that there is documentation of it. You may try contacting the local animal warden also.
If you are a minor, your parents will have to also. Check out our website for more information.
Keith and Carol are correct Brandon.
Depending on how many cages are available currently. Call them directly and ask because there are too many variables.
This is not for "Questions to", it's for "Questions about". You most likely will not get the that kind of answer here. You should contact them directly by phone for that kind of info.
Wait till they're open, then call them and let them know your situation. They will tell you everything you need to know.
You have to call and check if they have any available spots open to take in cats.
There is a TNR rescue that does that
You should call them first to see if they have room before you drive out there. I wish I could find a forever home for it. What kind off dog is it
I've been trying to get ahold of friendship animal league no one answers of returns calls we need help with our pet she's sick

Yes, we take towels, blankets, sheets, pillowcases.
It depends where you live. If your city/township doesn't have any ordinances against it, there is nothing you can do.
Try the apl on brookpark road across from Wal-Mart
If you're asking if they have pictures, yes. Click on the link to their website.
Great!! I have dog bowls, too!
I can't answer that but I do know they run a clean and happy facility. Good luck!
