Train Mountain is very cool, kids love it (adults love it too)! Everyone there volunteers- it is obvious that all of the workers WANT to be there! We visited this Summer and met Dennis and Sharon, they were so friendly and sweet!!! Our family had a wonderful time :)

It's free and the snacks they had were very reasonable! But please make a donation so everyone can continue to enjoy this magnificent place!
Yes only propane fired steam engines can be used at Train Mountain due to fire hazzard!!
Cristian- our membership isn't for the equipment, instead, it is the individual that can join the club. We have several members at Train Mountain that own steam locomotives which burn alternative fuels (coal, oil, wood, pine cones). When they come to Train Mountain, they either convert their locomotive to burn propane, or they leave that locomotive home.
Coal is no longer permitted due to fire danger.
Propane only, coal is outlawed due to high heat and fire warnings.
Do not know, but suggest that you call them... Nice folks there.
7-1/2 inch gauge
Yes
Train Mountain is open Monday through Friday 9am to 3 pm. Meets are open to the public with a day pass purchased at the office. We give train tours from 10am to 3pm Monday through Friday.
The full meal deal is 37 miles around the property. Or somewhat less about an hour or so.
Yes... If you're a member of harvest hosts you can park your RV. You can join train mountain for a year at the same cost as 2 nights in a park essentially and you can park lots of times through the year. Membership totally worth it and very reasonable
I don't have room at my house, so that's why I joined Train Mountain.

Poison ivy and poison sumac only grow in the eastern United States. Poison oak grows here in the western U.S.. The only place I have seen it in Oregon is in the foothills in the Rogue Valley and only one spot in the higher elevation (which is unusual), on the side of the road on Highway 58 along Odell lake. I have never seen any poison oak in the Chiloquin area. Just to be sure I would call them and ask. The volunteers and people that help maintain the park keep everything well groomed and clean.
The only ones you can drive are the ones you own.
If you own a train you must become a member to run on the tracks. But even non train owns become members.
32 - 36 miles of track in its entirety, but only certain amounts of track are utilized on various occasions...
There r no mobility scooters. , ost ofit is near the entrance and close together
No charge or admission. Donations are accepted. Yes we are closed to the public on weekends. K&W Railroad next door has rides thru Train Mountain on weekends!
There is no asking price
They are always open to stoll about the amazing grounds whether the train is open or not!
Yes, on designated days. Some days are reserved for their members.
