The employees and volunteers could not have been friendlier. They made the train ride fun and looked out for the safety and comfort of their customers. A variety of trip options possible but vary by season.

Not at this time, due to the cost of such a restoration being very expensive.
Yes, most days that we operate, and with advance notice so that we can meet your group and direct the bus for parking. Bus parking may be difficult during scheduled Christmas Train operating days.
No model trains. There are occasional evening special trains, such as "BBQ and Bourbon", "Wine & Chocolate", in addition to special event trains at Fall and Christmas. Please see our website for details and schedules. www.rmne.org Thank you!
There is a wheelchair lift available, if it is needed, please arrive early and notify station staff of your needs.
Hi Linda, Unfortunately we have had to cancel all trains for the 2020 season. Our volunteers are taking advantage of this downtime to make improvements to our station and rolling stock. We hope to make a strong come back in 2021! Thank you for your interest!
Our usual trip lasts about 1 hour and 15-20 minutes. Most trains cover about 18 miles total. Some trips, such as Pumpkin Patch trains (which have a stop along the way), will cover about 14 miles in total.
All your questions are on the website or check out there Facebook page lots of info on that as well
The outdoor display area at Thomaston station is accessible during daytime hours. We do ask that no one climb on the equipment, and that all visitors conduct themselves safely and respectfully.
Parking is free and is located on site, across the tracks from the station. Handicap parking is available under the overpass next to the station.
The museum is only open when trains are running.
Check there website
I dont know of any ramps to get onto the train. You have to climb up a few steps to get onto the train from the platform. You may want to call them.
Thank you for your quick response. So there are no seats left (available) in June? If, by any chance, 4 seats open up for June 23, please would you let me know? As that would be our only option as she is a nurse and works every other weekend. And unfortunately, we will not be able to come in the fall, as we have 4 weddings in the family between Sept and October, but I'm sure it would be beautiful then! Thank you again. And I do follow you on facebook, it was a fun time when we brought our son in May. ☺
They still ran during the last snow storm which was bigger.
I believe so Yes
Thanks, Trish. I'll find out on Sunday. Taking the little ones so it's good to plan.
