Beautiful park, well kept and maintained. No silly rules and regulations. If there are rules signes are made clear. Lots of picnic areas with grills. The only complaint I have is the restrooms were locked and it seems as if they are only made available if you rent out the recreational building. I think that is the only bad thing I have to say.

This hidden gem is such a great find especially for a great winter walk Be sure to walk the neighborhood as there is lots to see including Salesian missions and the 100 year old Salesian high school. Great place to take wonderful winter pictures. Make you walk all of the trails to see the various views

Lovely local, town park with water views, walking paths, and play areas for children.

So this park charges $5 for parking BUT it is only for New Rochelle residents. My family and I came from NYC and we simply parked in the street and then walked in for free. So glad we did because this park is lovely! There’s bridges …

I THINK you need a fishing permit. They're very cheap and easy to get. I got mine at Walmart. Even if it's not required to have one, get it anyway if you enjoy fishing. You may come across a spot that does require one. I've seen people checked and fined for not having one. Save yourself the trouble.
Technically until Columbus day parking is free if you have a New Rochelle Parks Pass or resident sticker, otherwise with proof of New Rochelle residency it's $5. It's only enforced on the weekends though. Without proof of New Rochelle residency parking is not allowed. Anyone is allowed to walk in.
Yes it is But I believe it's only for the people of the town I've heard they ask for your licence at the gate or you have to pay a fee to get in
They do rent out pavilions. Call new rochelle parks and rec.
Yes but a scarce location
NO YOU CANNOT!!!! You cannot launch or dock any boat from five islands, please do not listen to Novice Quads. You have to go to Hudson Park Marina if you want to launch or dock a boat. You will be sent away if you try to launch or dock a kayak here!
Thank you. I was flying yesterday. .. might fly for sunset today
I think you need a New Rochelle parking pass, but I'm not entirely sure.
To park for free you have to have a valid New Rochelle parking pass. If you do not have that pass you pay one of two fees $5 if you live in New Rochelle with ID, or $10 if you live outside of New Rochelle for the non-residential fee. Of course you have the option of either walking or biking in which would be free, but to park a motorized vehicle for free you have to have a New Rochelle parking pass.
