I would never recommend parking in the aquarium parking lot. It's $15 more expensive than the Westin Hotel garage right across the street.
Once you park in the garage, every floor has an elevator and you pay for parking right there when you're ready. **YOU CAN VALIDATE YOUR PARKING INSIDE THE AQUARIUM**
You'll be in the Canal Place mall and have to walk across the parking lot and street to the aquarium but I do it with a stroller all the time!
These are their prices:
2 Hrs- $10
3 Hrs- $15
5 Hrs- $25
8 Hrs- $30
Here's the website https://www.premiumparking.com/P400/pay?rate_id=75388
If you really want to save money, street parking right around the aquarium is only $3 for 2-3 hrs but you have to remember to feed the meter. The aquarium with young kids, doing everything, is about 3 hrs.

They don't sell week passes, but they sell packs so you can see the aquarium, the butterflies, and the zoo all on different days for a discounted rate. They also do offer seniors an additional discount. I'm not sure what the price is though. Also an Imax ticket comes with the aquarium ticket. We saw the hurricane movie and it was really cool.

It depends on how long you have to look. If you want to run through it and not see everything, you can probably do it an just over an hour, but, if you have the time and want to see all of it c you can spend the whole day. It is air conditioned and it has benches to sit on and it has restaurants inside. You can pet stingrays and/or feed the birds. It is a great place.
