Are there in and out privileges at the aquarium? Can I go for a couple hours, grab lunch outside of the aquarium, then go back in with one ticket?

Yes. You may have to get a stamp, but you can leave. Your ticket includes one IMAX movie and you have to go outside for that, so they've got a good system for you to leave.
