The team at Cardinal Expo helped me navigate the trade show industry. You might be able to rent a booth anywhere, but the service that Cardinal Expo provides is above and beyond. Expectations exceeded!

Extremely unprofessional!!! Had an interview set up for an opening they had and after clearing my schedule and other opportunities to meet with them, I get an email at 10 pm on a Saturday night saying they’d hired someone they interviewed earlier in week. Very convenient after clearing my schedule and abandoning other opportunities...

Questions & Answers

What is material handling, and why are there additional fees associated with it?

This is a very common question. Material handling (also known as “drayage”) is the cost associated with handling and storing your booth's materials. These fees are charged by the show decorator or show contractor, and the cost is incurred by the client, as they are charged to the company renting the booth space. While Cardinal Expo does help our clients anticipate these charges, our estimates for material handling are only based on previous shows. The actual charges and amounts come directly from the show decorator, and they will vary from show to show.

How do I pick a good booth space at a Trade Show?

When picking a booth space, there are few important factors to consider. First, be sure to look for high traffic areas like aisle intersections, but avoid areas that may cause congestion, such as entrances. Look out for structures like columns that could affect booth visibility, and take note of the size of surrounding spaces that could detract attention from your booth. Depending on your goal, you should also compare ideal spaces with that of your direct competitors. In general, it’s a good rule of thumb to review the exhibitor floor plan and plan your reservation as soon as possible. Some shows will have the floor plan available for the next year directly after the end of the current show. Look at your show’s past floor plans and use those as a reference for your current selection.
