Very disappointed to drive all the way here from Indiana to find out when we got here there was no place to park an RV. How do school buses park for kids? No place to stop and ask.

Parking near the French Quarter is EXTREMELY tight and this effects all businesses, not just this one. Buses drop students off and come back to collect them after their visit. I recommend you search for parking here in the Google-maps app and then take uber or public transportation to visit the FQ.

I would use the parking by the river walk

There's a parking lot and a parking garage but I have no idea about larger vehicles. I suspect they have to park elsewhere and either walk or ride the bus or streetcar. I'm sure there are options that aren't very far away. The way that the city is set up, its almost impossible to go anywhere without having to do at least a little bit of walking. A lot of the time it's more convenient to walk or take public transportation than to try and drive yourself.
