I was invited to a Picnic Celebration in the park with friends. The weather and scenery was beautiful. We celebrated a couple who just got married weeks prior. I enjoyed myself at this park it was a fun, creative and beautiful experience.

First, this is a huge park with lots of parking and picnic areas marked by numbers. So if you need to meet with a group, better share a specific spot or pin it on maps. Otherwise you may end up driving another 10+ minutes to meet your people. Before I came for the group hike this morning, I thought this park is as “flat” as South Jersey. I was wrong. It’s more mountainous park. So there were quite some elevations going up and down the mountain trails. We parked at #16 and took the White-Yellow-Blue Loop Trails, with a 6.9 miles today (04/25/2022). The trails are all marked very well. It’s such a pleasant hike with birds chirping, spring flowers blooming, trees turning green all along. And the running creeks or streams you would pass by adds to the serenity. In summer, it will be a great park to bring kids to have fun in the water while sitting on one of the benches built by the creeks. Or just picnic at one of the parking & picnic areas for your convenience. This must be a good place to go fishing as I saw a guy carrying some fish back to his car by the roadside. I will come back to explore/enjoy more of the park.

It’s very calm and beautiful. We went there on a Saturday morning we saw many people walking their dogs. Having a picnic in the picnic area. It was pretty busy as I think it was a long weekend Saturday. I took my cat there and it’s a pretty animal friendly place. It was very soothing and calming. Would love to visit this place again.

I've been going to Ridley Creek since I was little, it's place for everyone to kick back, enjoy nature, exercise, bike, roller blade, etc. Trails can be confusing the first couple of times but you'll get your barrings down. Connect with nature and get your serotonin flowing. I love exploring the more hidden trails with my dog and strolling along the water.

Yes and they are actually being repaved this week. So they will be awesome.
There's organized group camping in one area. Contact the Park for details.
Many of the picnic areas have charcoal BBQ grills there for you.
Go to website. There is a phone no if not on page. Good luck!
Yes. This park has vast free spaces and benches. There are around 18 pavilions separately and you can go to anything if it’s available
Yes
I have the phone # for Gary Stolz- Environmental Education Specialist. (610) 892-3908 office
Not sure. Only visited once with so many trails. I would go on alltrails and look at the various trails through the park to see what interest you.
Their web site says organized group camping. Scout troops have camped here.
I have never seen anyone personally but as long as you are not damaging any of the area I am sure it is ok
The best place to go fishing at the park is by the walking trail off Barren Rd
The main trail if fairly flat with the exception of one massive hill. The first trails throughout the wooded areas are standard dirt trails and have many small hills
There is a limited amount of hunting in the fall. Check website for details.
In September fly fishing area only not sure of the date
Regarding the Image of the what looks to be the wedding ceremony area, is this apart of the Parque Ridley Creek venue, or is this a stand alone site. Thank you.
There is parking near the mansion which is where Google Maps will take you, but you can also follow signs to any of the picnic areas and there is parking at each of them.
You can call the office and they should definitely be able to direct your question to the proper audience.
I seen an article online before about some ruins in the park. Not sure if its the ones you are speaking of. Im interested, do you have any pictures?
Go to the main entrance to the Arboretum and walk straight. Bare right at the fork.
Not that I'm aware of.
Yes, on a leash.
I'm not sure. And I don't think you can. Mostly families with children and their pets go their. There is a creek but rocks and sand on the sides. It's muddy but most folks get their feet wet and take a dip in the water. Trails are have deep slopes and hills. Lots of walking.
No
Nice. A bit over used in areas but still worth the trip.
There aren't any parts against it that I saw
Do you know when they stock the fish for the fall/winter ?
No swimming area but plenty of creek an stream to play in...just be careful of the snakes...sunbathing !
You have to bring it. The park does not sell picnic supplies. Happy Memorial Day!
I'm not sure....you would have to call the park office...they have a diverse amount of trees already but maybe some fruits trees for the wildlife would be great an a suggestion !
No grills are there at park use theres I would
The Mansion is incredible. It's in the park! http://parque-peachtree.com/plan-an-event/our-venue/

yes you can
I believe, it is a universal advice for pedestrians to walk against the traffic, facing the cars (when cars approach from behind, one cannot see them, and it is hard to evade them if necessary).
Yes you can go up there, there is no charge. All parks close at sunset. It is a big park so becareful i have almost got lost on some of the trails and cell service is limited at best.
Thank you very much Robert I appreciate that.
No. People wade in it, but that's it. I don't believe its allowed.
Streams are stocked. Ranger station at the mansion should be able to direct you.
The roads throughout the park and the 5 mile paved multi-use. Not on the hiking trails.
Park at the Barren entrance. It's right there.
I dont believe that they issue park specific tags. State issued version that you use for all othe locations will be fine. Parking locations throughout the park are typically wide open (i.e. you can usually find a spot right where you want to be)
Parts of the inside manor and all of the outside you can take photo's.
This is nature
Bill is right. In the past two years a few state parks in the southeast including Tyler and Nockamixon have had to remove ash trees due to the infestation of emerald ash borer.
There's a 4.3 mile loop of multi-purpose trail, shared by walkers and bikers.
