I hope EVERYONE remembers this pitiful, inefficiently STATE ran agency come election time. Governor Kelly has failed any and everyone that has had the unfortunate experience dealing with the KDOL. I'm looking into filing a class action lawsuit on behalf of every citizen that needed UE benefits that have been approved, but never received them. Seriously, a 3 hour wait time at 745 am? The agency doesn't even open until 800, so how are people on hold without anyone even there to answer a phone? This is fraud outright.

My husband filled out for unemployment in November and still hasn't received anything regarding the status after the interview Not a decision letter, a payment or anything! We call every day three and four times a day and never can get hold of anyone!! We need payments to start, bills don't wait, it only piles up! We need to get this system together ASAP! Kansas are DROWNING!! HELP!! Where's our governor, mayor, senators??

I filed for unemployment in Jan 2021, received 1 payment. It was flagged as fraud where it’s been since February. That was 10 months ago . Worst organization I have ever had to deal with . I’m owed 14 weeks of unemployment. You will starve waiting on them . Thank GOD I got a job.

Is sad , but the department does not care if you go belly up waiting for your due compensation! It's all smoke and mirrors. So sad
OI was ask to fill out forms per PUA program but the problem I'm lock out of my account and no fault of mine. They as that i upload or mail forms back in 7 days will i cannot get to the forms because im lock out. Help please. I ovrrnight a note saying Im lock out to the same address thatit ask me to mail the forms. It was received today per tracking# and said receptionist sign for it

The doors are locked and they won't let you in. I tried on Tuesday. You have to talk to someone through a speaker and they will assure you someone will call you (they won't). She also told me 401 Topeka is just the KDOL building. The unemployment building is at an undisclosed location. So, they don't answer the phone, they don't return emails, they don't respond to written letters, they hid one location and locked up the other (401 Topeka).

You would need to talk to the tax dept with Department of Labor. Call 296-5000 during business hours and they can transfer you. I dont have the ext. memorized.
You can file the day you were separated. Just answer all questions honestly when filing. And they will adjudicate if you are eligible based on your answers regarding the separation. And what the employer reports on the paperwork. If there is conflicting information, they will get rebuttals.
