You definitely need an appointment. Go to the MVC website and make the appointment and while you're there, check what is required to get your ID.

I'm not an expert on this, but if the vehicle is still registered and insured you can drive it. As far as him passing, sorry for your loss. I've never done a title transfer with a loved one passing. If the vehicle is now yours, ie a will, or living will, you will probably need to bring a death certificate and title to MVC. If you're able, do a bit of investigating online on MVC platform. If not, just give them a call and ask.

If it is a renew, I think they prefer you go online. All locations prefer that of there is an option to do whatever you need online, that you attempt that before coming in to the location. But yes they do registrations, auto/boat/motorcycle/commercial there.

I really couldnxt say, the line changes daily but if you want to get in and out early you may need to get there around 6am. I arrived at 8:30 a few weeks back and did not get inside until 10:15.
