It is just that individual's characters and they must be under moral character training by those entities. Simply, those places hired wrong candidates. When I see those rude & unprofessional employees, I feel pity. Still, don't forget to get that person's name and date, make sure file a complaint, make it official.

Good morning. You send the document to the email of whomever is helping you at the time. They will provide their email address. If it is busy you'll be sent to the info desk to print it. Only send a SCREENSHOT not a pdf because it may could take longer.

There is a preferred appt system however if you need services right away and cannot wait then you can arrive before the doors open. Usually the first 20 walkins are accepted. Other than that if the lobby is pretty empty you will be seen. For your convenience the DPS is now open every Saturday until the end of the year. Except the Saturday the week of Thanksgiving. Hopefully you can get your needs taken care of.

You'll have to get a new license in Cali if you're moving there anyway. Just renew your license in Cali (well switch your license). The renewal period is 2yrs so all of your credentials are still good. Or you can try being a walkin Mon-Sat. Saturday is a good day to drop in. Update: As of April all COVID waivers are done. Out of state licenses have to be up to date. If you renew online but just don't have it in hand that is fine. Our the system will let them know your status. They take walkins as well. When I was there if you didn't have an appointment they would direct you to the right where they had computers set up open to the home page where you could make an appointment. They also said if you didn't want to use the computer you could do it from your cell or any computer. So they were letting walk ins inside but only so they could make an appointment. Takes about 8 weeks on average...at least that was the average when I made my appointment in mid August...my appointment was for October 13th... so pretty much 8 weeks. Biggest mistake? Forgetting a second form of identification like a birth certificate, passport, or driver's license or you'll be sent home and you'll have to wait another 6 to 8 weeks...this happened to a couple of people during the time I was there. If you used a second form of identification the last time you got your driver's license they may have that info in their system but I'd bring it anyway just to be sure you don't have to reschedule.

personal experience: _somehow_ my SS card had never been scanned into the state's system 😯 they told me I had to go home and get it 🤪 person I was dealing with told me I'd "likely" get to finish the process if they weren't too busy when I came back - it was like 4:30 and the parking lot looked a lot less crowded, so I figure I had it in the bag - 2nd in line and that person tells me "you'll need a new appointment" 🤦 "luckily we have walk-ins this afternoon" and she handed me a number (whew) so go 4pm-ish is my advice 🤷

Also, if he lives with you and he does not have any specific documents showing his current address, then you as a parent can sign the Residency affidavit and provide 2 residency docs i.e. water, electric, credit card statement, current car insurance or registration. Also, you will need 2 proofs of Texas residency within 30-90 days old. First: to get a driver's permit you have to take the learners course and get a temporary driver's license. Then in a month you can go on and take the test to get a permanent license. For this you need: passport, 2 address proof documents, impact driver certificate. Second: to change a foreign license. I dont think you can directly apply for a change of license. You have to take the driver's test. Its mandatory in Texas. But you can drive with your foreign license for 90 days. Check if you can use it in Texas on hand. Try visiting the DPS sometime.
