You can only do online every other renewal, which is convenient. You can also do change of address online. A person I know this year did not notice their license expired in Feb 2020; the shutdown was 3/13/2020. This person is waiting until the DPS can open again! Bummer!!! Since the expiration was before the shutdown, technically no excuse. Last time was done online which is why I know; could not reorder debit card at bank, trouble verifying identity moving apartments, could not renew security pass at her job 🤔 Worst time to overlook the expiration date. For now, DPS says they will begin renewing in July. FYI
