I’m proud to say that I’ve donated cat litter and I’ll continue to do so with love ❤️

This particular shelter is run by extraordinary staff and volunteers. These pets without homes are loved and cherished from day one upon entering the doors. The staff all love from deep within their hearts. They nurture and cuddle, help heal and comfort all pets waiting for a forever home.

We've adopted 2 dogs from Safe Animal Shelter. The kennel is spotless and the staff is very helpful. They are a no kill shelter. There is a page posted on every kennel with the dogs name and any history they have on him. They had us go into a play yard area to get acquainted with the dog we chose. He was a perfect match for us.

They helped me bring home two sweet girls that keep me on my toes. They answered all my questions and the adoption process was fairly quick and easy. Love having Rosalie and Giovanna as part of our family.

Yes constantly. Please message us on Facebook to get in our foster program. Ty
Give safe animal shelter a call and explain the situation. I do not work for them but they assist families all the time
Yes, you can.
Yes they accept all donations and anything they don't personally use they donate back out to others.
I would imagine they would be able to accommodate you. I personally would try and find good homes for them myself first.
There currently full , but if you do go up there they do accept surrenders
Call before you go. I was there Monday & they weren't accepting any kittens due to overcrowding. I'm sure it changes day to day.
Hi there! Yes, you can freely look for dogs up for adoption without an appointment!
No
It's considered lakeside by Google location however the address is Middleburg Florida at the corner of knightboxx rd and cr220
Yes, you can definitely do that. I originally became an official volunteer at the Safe Animal Shelter by completing a school project there. All you need to do is visit them when they are open, and start helping the animals! Depending on your age, you can either volunteer with the cats or dogs. You can also collect donations from your local community to contribute as well. That's great that you're interested in helping the animals. Good luck!
Severely injured dogs wouldn't be up for adoption
Homemade hounds Bed and Biscuit on 220 is good, Poochies in Orange Park, Clay County Animal Hospital and Happy Dog Inn.
I just adopted a puppy from them and took her home the same day. They make it very easy. Just fill out the application and paid adoption fee and we took her home.
If you give them a call they can probably help.
Take them to Safe Animal Shelter in Middleburg 220. They are really good and will help them all.
No. Not at the moment. We were in there today and they are only taking adult cats. They are flooded with kittens at the moment.
They aren’t old enough and are still with mama but keep watch on our website for when they will be ready. Www.safeanimalshelter.com
Yes, it's a no kill shelter.
Photos and information of dogs are on the Safe Animal Shelter website. safeanimalshelter.com
Sorry, no. Only take dogs and cats.
I believe they are not accepting animals currently. I would call before you go.
They generally do, but, they may be full and unable to do so. But the can recommend another place if so. Always call and check first.
I don't know ? What do you do ?
They do not. They do not accept strays, they only accept owner surrenders by appointment. If you are close to SAFE, as in Clay County, they are going to direct you to Clay County Animal Services.
You can volunteer there for sure.
I believe there's no fee ? But donate food supplies and it's probably free
You need to bring him into the shelter and surrender him to them if you can no longer care for him. He will be cared for and then find a new home.
You would have to ask a vet. I'm sorry, I don't know.
Call them, or go in person, or email them.
Safe animal shelter is a great place. They can and will help
Due to covid-19 safe animal shelter isn't taking in strays.
Also they will want you to have your dog meet the new dog your adopting if that is the case. So do bring your pet if you plan on adopting one the same day.
Good question. I'm actually in the same boat with a commercial property that I manage in Orange Park. It is swarming with stray cats! We've taken a few in, and have brought them to the humane society for free spay/neutering. Since Covid tho, they're not doing the free spay anymore, but offer it at a discount for only $50. 🤷🏼♀
You'll half to call them or go look for yourself.
Yes
Absolutely! Call the shelter and ask. At certain times of the year the shelter gets way too many kittens than they can handle because I guess the cats like mating more at certain times of the year. Also if your not quite sure if your financially able or if you just want to see if a cat is right for you the shelter has a fostering program and they give you free food and litter as much as you need. Also with fostering their basic vaccines are free I think.
That sad
Probably around$50..with shots and fixed
Good point
You'll have to ask them, they take whatever comes in, they've had them in the past, but exact population changes almost everyday.
Yes they do! Once they're appropriate weights/ages, they're given all vaccines and spayed/neutered and then put up for adoption!
No sir. Objective is to slow down breeding.
We don't really use them at this time but thank you for asking!
a
I would just take it there. There's a lot of animal lovers up there that I'm sure would be happy to care for it.
Absolutely! We also accept volunteers. Stop by to pick up an application!
They get new puppies in almost daily and if they're ready for adoption, they almost always get adopted the same day. The most common breeds in shelters typically tend to be pitbulls and similar bully breeds, so check back with them often when they open some mornings and you're bound to find the right furbaby for you.
Prices vary on dogs Depending on how long they are there. They run $50 and up. Cats are $25 and kittens are currently $50. Puppies are $150
Under 16 they must be accompanied and supervised. They can play with cats, do laundry, help their parent with enrichment of the dogs, help feed and water animals.
Owner surrenders you have to discuss with the director either calling or in person and it depends on their capacity at the time.
Every single shelter and rescue will Eu for medical or other reasons in the best interest of the animal. No they do not put down animals for space as allot of animal controls do.
They always have animals available for fostering, it just depends on the day and season whether they have a good number of puppies, kittens, etc. Itsalways the easiest route to go up there and ask/look around at their fostering options. Any animals available for adoption are available for fostering, but that may not be the other way around, as some animals that need a foster are sick or underage or what have you and would need special care during their foster.
Contact the shelter directly, not sure what they are able to do for you in this situation.
It's animal control as bothering the police when they'll call animal control anyways is pointless. Safe doesn't take strays as is code that they have to go through the city shelter for a stray hold.
You would need to contact the rescue on adoption fees.
This is Google and not run by the shelter. Allot out us volunteers show up about that time. If you'd like message them on Facebook or call them any day after noon for best results.
You would have to call them to enquire about this.
You'll be able to work with cats in the main room, yard work, or play with the dogs but all with parental supervision and with the dogs they have to walk them for you. Visit the shelter to fill out the voulenteer form.
bull dog mixes
No lab puppies, not at this time. We have others, but not lab.
Puppy food, clumping liter, cleaning things like dawn and bleach.
Contact the shelter.
As far as I know, the facility is a no kill shelter. Their name SAFE stands for Save Animals From Euthanasia.
Contact the shelter.
On Facebook you can post in swip swap free animals "preshelter intervention". They are limited at the space for animals at the safe shelter so most are redirected to the clay country animal services on hw16 in Middleburg. If you need further help please let me know.
Yes. The Safe Animal Shelter currently has foster kittens in need of a temporary home. Contact the shelter for more information.
It's always best to call the facility for questions like this.
Yes, the Safe Animal Shelter is a no-kill shelter.
They always like voulenteers however under 16 will need your supervision and can not work with the dogs only the cats. Stop by to fill out an application and take a tour.
This is run by Google guides not the shelter. I do work with them though and you need a cat rescue for special needs. They will find a perfect match for him better than a shelter.
You can try Maverick Trails veterinarian near Ridgeview High School, half mile away from Knight Boxx and Blanding. 32065 They offer several options for low income too.
No...they were damaged after the hurricane. Go to clay co animal care and control. All animals there.
