Hi my daughter is 16 and would like to volunteer and also help the animals get adopted by taking pictures of them. Is that possible? She is very responsible and is an animal lover. She is also planning to become a veterinarian in the future.

Volunteers that are 18 years old can help the dogs. If you're child is 16, they may be allowed to volunteer in that specific area for future scholarship credits. Contact the shelter.

Do not listen to Denise on this. We at safe can give credit hours documented. At 16 she can help with allot but can't walk dogs with out an adult accompanying. Pictures are always welcome. Stop by any time to fill out the volunteer application. Thank you

I would personally call them and ask if that is possible. They are very nice people, and who knows, they might let her do that.
