I need 72 hours or more of community service in order to graduate senior year, so is it possible for me to get a position maybe cleaning cages or doing something else?

You can volunteer there for sure.

You walk in to the lobby and ask to volunteer. There are no positions available - they will give you things to do while you're there and you sign your hours onto their sheet, as far as I remember. But literally just walk in and tell them you want to volunteer.
