The previous trip to Long Beach Airport was a little a year ago. I hardly recognized the place. Larger, sterile, and the movement all happens on the right side of ticketing. Less friendly for dropping off and picking up people. But the niece got this shot of the "beach" as she waited to board her plane. She said she loved this airport. It sure is easier than Los Angeles.

I want to share our experience today at this amazingly kept secret, the Long Beach Airport. We drove from Riverside County to drop my elderly Aunt who is partially blind, my cousin who also has a challenge with walking to the airport to fly back to Texas. They had six heavy pieces of luggage, I was struggling trying to get them and the luggage in the terminal. This nice officer approached us and offered to get us a wheel chair, he helped my elderly aunt and push the chair all the way to check in. I pray the Lord bless this officer for going above and beyond his duty to help those in need.

What a fun airport! I LOVED it because of the convenience of walking out and walking directly to the rental car place. This is what all airports should be like, small and convenient! I enjoyed the outdoors portion. When I walked out, I thought I had already left the airport then quickly realized I was still in the airport facility, it was just uncovered and there were palm trees inside "this portion" of the airport. Small, simple and efficient! βπ

For years this has been my go to Airport! I love how quick and easy it is to go in and out of the parking lot. I know it isn't an international airport, but for domestic, it is easily the best airport ever. Parking has gone up but what hasn't gone up? I love that the parking lot is so close by. Like literally walking the stairs or taking the elevator and you're there to check on in. So quick to get in, short TSA lines. Highly, recommend this airport. One caveat if it's raining, you are going to get very wet. Baggage pickup is literally outside, clearly the airport isn't used to it either or it wouldn't be built that way. They have a few stores for food, snacks and drinks. A few sitting areas and clean restrooms. Also, bring your water bottles because they have those water stations. So quick and easy to travel.

Outer circle, away from the terminal building there is a concrete pad with benches
Parking is about 100 feet from the terminal. It is very close.
Absolutely. $15 in one lot and $17 in another, the latter is closer to the airport
Once you enter past security checkpoint you have access to many POS small business. Have fun and safe trip!
I suggest checking online. Prices vary depending on when you are flying, how far in advance you buy a ticket, etc.

Yes, but not Los Angeles....
No, it's really small airport. You can simply walk from parking to airport.
In front of terminal is multistory or short stay. Mobile waiting lot is before u enter
Yes
All the planes have outside ramps.
I would say at least 30 minutes.
Hello if it is a local airport ..
For the cruises there should be a flat rate posted in the cab. Its probably between $25-$50. I would call Carnival. They will have recommended travel. Uber is normally cheaper.
They have a stand that you can measure yourself.
Long Beach Marriott is the closest I think....but a little bit farther is cheaper options like Extended Stay and Holiday Inn.
You need to speak with someone who is actually more well acquainted.
After 10 pm no night flights....can do exterior shots without sound with airport permission for daylight shots.
No
Hotels around, but none at the airport.
You have to reach out to customer service for the airline prior to your flight. Minimum 24-48 hours
Yes, they do
Yes
Yes you can but I don't know the cost
Pull into the airport and you will see all the big signs
The airport is not huge. Go to the msin building. It will be easy to find the South West gates.
I believe they have on site testing areas For travelers, And I believe there might be a chargeAbove to $125, Different airports different prices
I flew southwest out of long Beach at the end of August, wasn't asked to show either proof of vaccine or negative test
Long Beach Airport is in Los Angeles County in the state if California. It use to be the home of Jet Blue, but not anymore. JB move to the LAX or Los Angeles International Airport, also in LA County in the state of California. I hope this answers and clarifies the question.
Depends on your destination. Check the official state website of your destination.
I think they do in the main entrance.
Yes* - You can get there but there are currently no non stop flights between these two airports. Airlines are frequently changing thier flights so you can keep checking.
South west and jet blue you can take a fly from LAX or long beach
Here is a link to Long Beach Airport guest services. There is a link to the lost and found. https://www.ifly.com/long-beach-airport/terminal-services-and-help
Good Question. I'm assuming it's difficult to find the right person there that knows the answer. I would peep their website for updates
Lyft or uber.
Start up of the airport's Magnificent Time Travel Machines has been postponed until after the 2020 general elections. Depending on the outcome, rollout will proceed with great fanfare. Training, while not free of charge will be available to all members of the travel universe at an affordable price.
Yes, and yes.
Yes but I dont remember how much
If you're flying within the United States you do not need a passport, however you do need the license with the inland they'll let you get on a plane check with your DMV
Google the above key words n u will get the answer in a split second
There is also a free cell phone parking lot
Two parking structures. Both within walking distance to the terminal. Offered long term n short term parking. One even offers car wash services. Not necessary. Just park, wash, and fly.
What time is it for a few hours?
Yes, 1 hour before.
There are 2 parking structures (Lot A & Lot B) that offer long-term parking as well as a valet service. All 3 are conveniently located near the terminal.
Probably maybe
The Carnival terminal is 11 miles from Long Beach Airport. Depending on traffic it should take about 30 minutes to get there.
In the airport, but if you check on their website I'm sure you will see its location.
You can also drive through the loading zone and then do a loop and come back until your party is there. This is what I usually do.
Easiest airport in California to drop off. Drive in at front drop off
I think I can not. They have hotels nearby. Long beach airport is very very small I'm sure you can not. They have hotels nearby. Long beach airport is very very small
From the last time I was there. NO
Yes there is a cell phone lot. It is just across the street from the airport.
Big airplanes like 320 JetBlue and southwest plus private jets. I'm flying tomorrow to long beach airport from San Francisco.
Search for it. But I can tell you its not far.
Yes
In front of baggage pick up. There are only 2 baggage carousel's at this airport and they are outside. You can't miss it. Very easy.
Yes
Check JetBlue Fare calendar
Put your address in Google maps & it will give you directions in detail & street view of where you need to go.
Across the street went you exit the airport. Use that walk way.
Flight prices change daily & sometimes hourly. I've heard it said that prices are lowest on Tuesday afternoon. Just go online to kayak.com or cheapflights.com & a bunch of airfare search engines will pop up. Click on search flights & if there are flights from LGB to your destination airport in Ohio, then you'll see a bunch of prices listed. Southwest & JetBlue are not listed on these sites. For these carriers you'll need to use the airline website.
Yes agreed call airport for details.
Hi Wally not sure If long term parking is available. But to make sure pls call your airline and ask them. Sorry Wally I don't know for sure. Have a good trip.
Yes the cell phone lot is across the street from the airport. No one will ask you to move if you are in your car.
All planes are boarded via ramps or stairs outside. They are wheel chair accessible.
Just follow security instructions. Very easy!
It's best to buy some before you travel, not sure if jet blue still.sells some before you board, but sometimes they sell some on the plane.
You might have to call the airline you booked your flight thru and ask for early luggage check in. Most airports got rid of storage lockers.
Im here now and it seems to be closed and being reused as a staff room
Like 40 mins. Just google it
You can visit the local metro website for schedules and location pick up.
The City of Long Beach has public transportation buses. Schedules and $fares are available online
No shuttle available
Please call the airline for eta
The distance is approximately 300 feet or 100 yards from baggage claim to the Avis rental desk.
There is long term parking available. Not sure of the current price.
The best place to do this is Delta out of OC airport. They have special animal services with a special pick up location outside the perimeter of the airport which is very convienent. When we picked up our dog, there were several people there waiting for their special deliveries...Hope this helps...
You should be ok for getting a cab. Then there's also Uber and Lyft as well.
Wait at the cell phone lot across Lakewood Blvd until the passenger is at the street side curb. Just drive right right to the front of the terminal. It's a very small airport and only one level.
Friend must come out of secured area and go back through TSA screening.
Nope
As long as the device you are playing the DVDSs has airplane mode or doesn't interfere with airplane
Call or visit the AA desk for details
Yes, theres 2. Parking lot A is very close and $19/day, Parking lot B is just a tiny bit further and is $17/day.

Check with the airline about pet policies & costs.

You can only walk them up to the security checkpoint. After that only ticketed people can enter

It 1 building and smaller than a football field..small
The airport does charge for carts to help you move your luggage to the Airline baggage drop off. . But this is optional. Call your airline for details on in flight baggage fees.
Didnt see any flights out to Reno
3.4 oz.of any fluids,that means shampoo,peanut butter,jelly,if you can pour or SPREAD it then it's a liquid,no guns,knives weapons of any sort..I wouldn't even take a Zippo or bic..
1 for me,don't know about you..where you starting from?
Arrive 1 to 1.5 hours prior to your scheduled flight time... That should leave you time to get thru screening, get coffee or booze, utilize the facilites and find parking or valet...good luck
It is 11 miles to the Carnival Cruise port and 15 miles to the San Pedro port (Princess, Royal Carribbean, etc.). It can take 20 minutes or an hour depending on traffic.
