I go about 1 hour early as TSA is friendly,helpfully cute and fast.
I'm a believer in being early enough to avoid stress. At least an hour; 90 minutes early is even better. Long Beach is small, but I'd still recommend being as early as you can. Happy flying!
1hr us totally fine, even if you have to check bags, but you can also get earlier. I flew 4 times a month out from that airport the last 9 months (do the math) and like 3 times I got there 35mins prior and boarded with no problem ( but I don't recommend it lol)

I'd say at least 1 to 2 hours early. The security checks go by pretty fast there, but it doesn't hurt to have a little extra time in case you happen to arrive on a busy day.
