So I was expecting the worst when I booked Spirit for the first time. But, it was cheaper than my standard United and American and was a direct flight from Los Angeles to Pittsburgh. Check in process was easy. Boarding process was easy. My seat was row 3 behind the last "Big Seat", which meant the tray tables were in the armrest, taking even MORE width from the seat. And the seats are the same as the low-cost carriers in Europe - very thin, no reclining. Flight attendants were very nice. On the way back, I moved back a few rows and that alleviated the seat width problem. The staff at the airport was great. The flight attendants (Dallas-based) were great. Very friendly, kidding around with everyone, and they announced some kids as the "first officers." Really great. The seat was still uncomfortable though. Yes, everything costs money (even water). But, going in with that expectation really made it easy. Great job for my first flights with Spirit.

Flying from Cleveland to Oakland. Had an hour layover in Los Angeles. Then less than an hour flight from LA to Oakland. My husband splurged and had us front row seats on the flight. The main flight attendant was beyond RUDE, from the time we stepped on the plane until we landed. She was soooo RUDE and OBNOXIOUS. She had an attitude with everyone the minute we stepped on the plane. She thought she was funny - cracking jokes. A few of them were funny. But you could tell she hated life and her job. She slammed items over and over again at the front of the plane. So even if you wanted to nap - or even just relax, you could not. I have better choice words for her presence/attitude, but I will not go there. She should be FIRED. Don’t go into the business of customer service if you don’t know how to service your customers. She knew she was RUDE too. At the end of the flight in her little speech - she stated “IF ANYONE WANTS TO COMPLAIN ABOUT ME - MY NAME IS WILMA FLINSTONE. Nothing like calling yourself out. It completely changed my mind on Spirit airlines and I will NEVER fly with them again. Funny how one person can change your mind on an entire corporation.

Nice airline for a weekender. Be sure to eat and don't bring extra bags, be sure you take care of your Internet baggage, and be hydrated, or be prepared to shell out the price of a dinner for a pack of Oreos and a soda. The add-on sales are ridiculous, but if you just have a small, overhead carry-on, and want to simply get somewhere, a good choice. Seats were comfortable, staff is friendly. Our host told some funny jokes that helped some tense people relax. All-in-all, a good experience.

5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because Price is unbeatable, and the service We received was beyond expectations ♥️🥰. At some point of the flight my daughter got motion sickness 🥺, and since the flight attendants were very attentive 🥳 to all our needs, he right away brought us a bag, water and made sure we did not need anything else before we landed. This is my first time flying ✈️ with this company and I know most people have had unpleasant experiences 😔 but I did not.🥳 With that being said you need to know that chair are small, not much room to move, but if you have a small backpacks 🎒 like we did you actually do not need to pay 💰 extra. You will also safe money 💴 if you download the app. There you can add your bags or luggage are a very affordable price ( in my opinion 🙂 ) less than $50 Last time I checked it was only $46. Both flights ✈️✈️ were as comfortable as any other expensive airline 🤩. Last advice: please be on time, be patient and kind to others. Thanks 🙏🏻 for reading 🙏🏻♥️🥰

Yes. They have a tendency of last minute cancelling flights due to crew staffing issues and do not have the ability to divert the passengers they have screwed over to other airlines like the others can. Their customer service is a call center abroad that has no ability or inclination to help when you can get ahold of them, and they will say just about anything to get you to hang up. Spirit is a bottom tier method to get from A to B if you have an arrival/departure tolerance of about a week, but more often than not, they will fail you and you will be at the mercy of their infamous support. At which point, you will have to choose between rolling the dice again on one of their next available fights a few days later (a process which will take literal hours at the front ticket counter or maybe an hour or two with their spotty call center support) or biting the bullet and getting a refund and buying a last minute ticket from a real airline.

DO NOT FLY SPIRIT. my flight got cancelled in march... they gave me a $100 vouvher +refund ... i was stupid enough to book again to use the voucher... stupid me. today my flight was cancelled. they gave me a $50 voucher today. Soooooo... DON NOT FLY

Worst airline I have ever flown on!!! Cancelled my flight without telling me. I found out when I got to the airport. Then had to wait 2 days to get another flight that had an overnight layover. Refused to help with a hotel voucher even though they cost me money by not informing ahead of time of the cancelation and cost me 3 days of work. When I asked for a manager on their phone line I was put back in the hold line instead and the second rep hung up on me and I had to call back to ensure I was actually scheduled for the flight. When I called back they asked me how I knew I was hung up on and then put me on hold until it timed out. I still don't know if I am scheduled for the next flight.
