I know back when I registered my 1970 Z28 Camaro, I had to put the newer style white plates on because I was missing one. They wouldn't let me just have two of the older blue plates on. Im getting the custom old style personal plates soon. My car will look nice with the black plates being that the color is yellow and black. The blue plates don't look right. Ask and see if you want the same number you should be able to use it but it will be as a customized personal plates. Not sure on the price of those plates.
