I called this morning to report a deceased racoon on my property. Their service was excellent, they send out Animal Control Officer Pelren. He removed the animal quickly and efficiently. We are grateful for their help. Officer Pelren arrived in less than an hour and a half after my call for help. He provided excellent, professional service. The person who answered our call was friendly and courteous too. Thank you Devore County Animal Shelter for your excellent service.

Devore = death. No blankets or toys allowed. Sordid water. No euthanasia deadlines or volunteers allowed. Dogs labeled rescue only with inadequate behavioral analysis. Dropping a dog at Devore is agreeing to a death sentence. To the staff at this shelter - shame on you. STAY AWAY!

I brought wild puppies I found in the hills where I live. They wouldnt take them because I wasnt in the right district. Its a stupid practice and we really need to do better. Good Samaritans should not be turned away.

Adopted Bellatrix from them. Such an amazing dog! Excellent with kids very gentle but also very playful! The adoption process is so easy and fast. Hope to go back soon and adopt another fur baby

No. The shelter is not great. The animals are great.
Its absolutely disgusting....ya wanna know why?? Start to look at Frank MACOMBER dog KILLER who oversees all of San Bernadino
They put most of the animals to sleep!!! Do not bring them there
If it's a owner surrender there is a fee. If it's a stray it has to be within certain city limits. otherwise it has to go to the shelter in San Bernardino. This shelter is very limited on space and they are typically reluctant to take an animal unless it's of real importance for this animal to be of the Street. It's a very good shelter with good staff, their resources are limited. I know from going to this shelter.
They have to be around 16 I believe
i paid 64 per cat which included nuter and spade i saved 2 kittens so 128 was total they also came with first shot so i need to get them the remaining shots on my own
Devore is a kill shelter so I would suggest that you start there because you would be saving a life if you found & adopted from there. Some people come oftentimes on a daily basis for pets. Check it out !!!
Yes towels and blankets are always needed at shelters
NO, definitely not a no-kill shelter! I had a neighbor that was trapping all the cats in the neighborhood and by the time I found out about it and went to the shelter they had all been KILLED!
I dont know if devore does or not. They should. All the city shelters do. The furbabies all thank you for caring 💙🐈🐕💙
San Bernardino Humane Society.
Might be, you should call or go in person and ask.
I don't think the facility gets these messages here. I'd recommend calling them frequently to see if it has shown up there.
If you found it in the city of San Bernardino it would need to go to the city shelter. If you found it in a county area you can drop it off at the shelter
$62 for kittens and $57 for adult cats
You can take her to the Rancho Cucamonga pound, they will find her a new home.
It's not true.
Take to a shelter that will not euthanize your kittens means they kill them😒
May your pet's memory be as a blessing on you. I believe Devore animal shelter will take your pet, but call first.
Staff was very friendly
Not an answer but a suggestion. (I don't know what you're looking for.) Kitty Devore rescue has been saving cats and kittens for ten years. The cats go to temporary fosters who nurse them back to health if they're ill, get them neutered or spayed, and then adopt them to people like you who may be looking for a cat or kitten. Kitty Devore rescue is a kind and experienced group who've saved hundreds of cats at the Devore animal shelter.
There are all different types of dogs available for adoption at the shelter. It's best to go in person to look or call
I have a female, she is fixed, but idk if you would take her in
Check all websites they helped me alot many huskys all different shelters
It was $116 it included all the shots a dog getting fixed and the chip
For the boarding of your animal or animals and depending on how many days of boarding as well. The money also goes to helping the other animals get their shots, surgeries, supplies to clean and sanitized the kennels and office areas and etc....
4pm
He was not at Devore, BUT he is no longer at San Bernardino Shelter, which os where he was.
I believe devore takes them
Agreed!
Unfortunately, it is do to humans not spaying and neutering their pets. An overpopulation of animals then occurs. Sadly, the animals are the ones that suffer. People, please be responsible. Spaying and neutering would help both staff and animals. If you are considering adopting, please stop by. Your new bedt friend could be waiting!
Because its san Bernardino
There is a daily list on their front counter.
You can look on petharbor.com but sometimes the shelter wont update the site so it's best to go in person and talk to the ppl at the front desk and if you have pictures of your dog to show them itd be helpful.
No one is going to answer these questions here because nobody on here have those answers. It's annoying and irritating to get notifications from you. I've already said you need to go to the shelter yourself in person and ask those questions....you want answers...then take the necessary steps to get them. You keep posting and complaining but yet your running in circles. Get the courage you need and go to the shelter in person and quit looking for answers here. Brent Jukes grow up n be mature about how you do things
AGAIN.... 2 WORDS: FRANK MACOMBER. Call San Bernadino Mayor and ask why such a bully police officer is in charge of ANIMALS SHELTERS!!
Look up the names yourself
Yes they are questions but not questions that anyone here can give you an answer to. Again you need to go to a county building or go to the devore shelter yourself and ask questions there or ask them to point you in the right direction. All your doing is asking questions about why they kill the animals and why this and that...like I've said people on here want to seek advice or want peoples input on locations not hear your rants about the cruelty to animals at this location or any other location. Like ive stated as well if it bothers you that much then go do something about it. Take the animal's to your place if you feel you can handle the situation better.
Then take your questions and concerns to community officials. This is not the place for you to find wat you seek
As sad as it is they can't just keep every animal they rescue. They would run out of room.
Most places don't even know they have questions on Google maps. Or how to answer. Call them.
Brent...or Lyn...whatever your name is...last time I saw it said Brent...so anywho like I mentioned last time...if you have that big of a problem with the shelter and the way it does things...then go to city council or the mayor. Make your statement and ask if they'll let you keep the animals at your place. Its dumb that your on here asking these questions. People are here mainly to seek peoples input and reviews on locations such as food entertainment or social locations. Not to see you complaining about how these animals are treated or whatever issue u have with the shelter. I think for what it is they're doing what they can to try to make sure these animals can be adoptable for anyone looking to take one in. Unfortunately Not everyone is in need of a pet. So I ask please just maintain your questions or opinions on peoples interests as it relates to the topics I mentioned.
FRANK MACOMBER!!! HE IS THE PROBLEM!!! LOOK IT UP! He is in control of all San Bernadino shelters and is a cop. Please look this pos up. Gabriel I agree ....HOWEVER.... Brent pls try to be a part of the solution and that is helping your local rescue organizations, ie; fostering, walking dogs, networking animals on your own social media sites. You can also go to DeVore and post animals A number with a brief Intake story. I've been doing rescue for almost 10 years now and that is one shelter that is underlooked
Why do people keep making comments about the animals here? Do you have space to take them all in and save then from this happening to them?if so go petition to the county.
They have a few different sources for funding, including grants from the California Department of Food & Agriculture and nonprofit charitable organizations, such as Animals aRe First Fund. You might need to make some phone calls to the county of San Bernardino if you're looking for exact numbers though.
We didnt call this place a shelter...Last time I checked none of us build this facility nor name it....that's what it's called or known as. Regardless of how you feel about it. They do shelter animals there...might not be forever but they do.
I dont have any idea? Youd have to call them.
You can take him to a vet and have him scanned for poss microchipped and post on fb and Nextdoor like Sally said
Is it possible for you to care for them? The 12 yr old is in its twilight years and will be so hard on it
Knock it off. Unless you plan yourself to adopt them all. You need to look at whole picture
Not sure right now. If you can wait till they have next Clear the Shelters you will get a great deal. Any adoption will include spay or neuter plus shots and chip. With all that included anytime is a great deal. Good luck on your upcoming furbaby. They make a house a home. Thank you for adopting not shopping
9am
If you drop off the kittens and they are under 8 weeks of age, state law says that they must be euthanized.
Gayle do you know which rescues have pull rights at Devore? My friend is interested in adopting a dog but its tagged for rescue only. She's contacted several rescues and has been told they don't have pull rights or don't deal with pitbulls. But are not willing to point her in the right direction of who can help her
For an abandoned puppy call shelter and ask 909-386-9820
What she said was “I found a pitbull puppy and I can not keep it someone can help me thanks I live in fontana”
Yes your dog ends up in the shelter they charge you to have him released to you
I would post on Facebook because more people and rescues could see your post there and help you and the kitten.
The shelter dont give shots you have to take your kitty to the vet. But if your adopting a kitty from the shelter they will aend your kitty to a vet they use to get it spray or neutered either way you have to pay the vet about 20 dallors depending on the vet as for SHOTS(Typical The average cost for cat vaccinations ranges from $45 to $85 and up in the first year, and from $10 to $35 and up per year afterward.)
That's what i heard but i still give donation because of all the good they do
Stray what? Approaching a hurt animal can be dangerous for both you and them. They could attack you or run making their injuries worse. Best to let the professionals do their job.
I go to the shelter often. They've been having a lot of Huskies because of the game of thrones fad and them having too much energy and jumping fences .
http://wp.sbcounty.gov/dph/programs/acc/shelters/pet-adoptions/
Popco call the shelter they will give you the number
I don't know what they charge but... The Humane Society of San Bernardino well put an animal to sleep for free! You will need to show them proof of ownership.
Yes
It's a county facility, so they don't accept volunteers.
Best bet is to check with your local animal shelter. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you.
I'm sure they would call you because they have your info In the chip.
40 to 50 bucks for cats for the adoption fees and another 15 to 20 to have them spayed or neutered
My fault i don't thinks so buddy!! Problem has been solved all cats are now gone
Even though it's in San Bernardino? thank you
No, but I'll keep an eye out! I highly recommend that you post her/him on PetHarbor, PawBoost, and especially NextDoor, in addition to going to all local shelters IN PERSON. We recently found our kitty who was lost for 5 weeks. We did all this, plus post flyers with her picture around the neighborhood AND attached a postcard-sized flyer to the doors of about 300 of our neighbors.
Probably not
They are supposed to have a 10 day stray hold if an animal is microchipped. This is to give owner chance to be contacted and respond. They cannot be relied upon to do this since they euth much quicker when shelter is full or animal has medical issues
I'm sure they do but you should call them to verify.
