The workers at this site are so blazing fast. They make the burden of having to get it done easier than taking out the trash. I'm not sure if I am able to tip the team but next time if I get that same amazingly fast service I will have no choice but to tip whoever is helping me. Keep up the good work team. 😃

Arrived before opening and cars were backed up into the street in both directions. But DEQ people were really friendly and the lines moved swiftly, would recommend this location

Great overall experience. They could Mark the entrance better. Myself and the car in front of me both wound up passing the correct entrance and having to loop back around. (Which was nice because we got to see the peacock in the middle of Croeni Ave. again.)

It’s a DEQ. But it’s one of the best I’ve found. Super friendly staff. Big. Lots of lanes and stations. Generally not crazy busy but it varies of course. Avoid last few days of the month when all the procrastinating people mob the place to avoid expired tags.

Yes, it's normally mailed to you if you have registered your car in Oregon.
Yes. All they need is the vin # and $21
To fail the test is free. If you pass the test I believe it's $21. The $140 plus or minus is for 2 years of tags for your car. I've always considered that a Department of Motor Vehicles charge.
No, you don't need an appointment.
I believe so
Oregon's Department of Environmental Quality is partnering with private businesses like gas stations, oil change/repair shops, car washes, etc. In addition to their other services, Participating Locations can now take care of your DEQ too using devices that transmit data to DEQ. You'll use this website to learn if DEQ passed your vehicle and then complete everything online. Or, you can test at a DEQ Clean Air Station as usual. Choose the most convenient option for your particular situation on any given day. Regardless of which option you choose, the price of DEQ's Clean Air Certificate is the same. 2005 and newer model year vehicles qualify for the DEQ Too option and the participating businesses may add a charge for using their device. See website deqtoo.org
Get tested and take the test certificate from DEQ to DMV to reregister.
I don't know. Best to call and ask. Staff is generally very helpful.
I believe since the DMV is hardly open and it's taking so long to do anything because of covid...you should be ok for now.
You need to bring a sheet that DNV sends you
You should still be able to get them
Yes. Any car less than 25 years (I think) needs to be.
You need your renewal form which is where you write youre insurance policy number down and that's it.
Yes, but you can also get it at Jiffy Lube

They are closed on Mondays and Sundays. They open at either 7:30a or 8:30a, Tuesday thru Saturday. I got there today for a 7:30 opening. I got there at 6:10a and was among the first 6-8 cars. At 7:00a they allow cars to line up at one of mine lanes of testing. They opened at exactly 7:30. I was the first car in my lane and was in and out in six minutes. There were maybe 50+ cars waiting for lane assignment when I left. The test fee is $182, plus a $25 DEQ fee, for a total of $207 for a two year pair of plate stickers...

You can always go to the deq website and check hours hours. I liked that they have a camera so you can see how crowded the lanes are before going. Obviously if there are no cars there, the wouldn't he open.
I go usually mid-morning on a Tuesday and it goes pretty smoothly.
No you don't. I was just there and passed. They didn't ask to see anything. But no check engine light or smoke. Instant fail.

This is just a Google question site answered by other users. You will want to call them to find out.
No You'll have a certain amount of time to get it fixed to pass. If you bring it back and it passes withing the timeframe they give you then you don't have to pay for the inspection again.
You have to call or look it up aorry
I Was trying to register a truck I just recently bought from a private party and was told to go to DEQ first.
No, you don't. Car dealers send different drivers through all the time, so there's no need to show personal ID, just car registration.
2 years for $86 + DEQ test fee if you have standard license plate. mine is special plate like crater lake NP plate, hence it's more expensive to renew registration.
No. The expiration date of the new tags will be the January though.
To update your tags and registration you need to bring the form DMV mails you for renewal. Otherwise you just get a slip saying it passes deq and have to get tags and registration at a DMV office.
