What all do I need? I have the temporary tags in back window and insurance card. And vin. Do I need the paper that was mailed?

No you don't. I was just there and passed. They didn't ask to see anything. But no check engine light or smoke. Instant fail.

Yes. You can get a copy at the DMV.
