EmpRes has done an outstanding job of protecting their staff and residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. They provided N95 masks and strict screening protocol from the beginning, and have acquired UV-C lights to sanitize our circulating air and rooms before patients arrive. Thanks for putting people first!

I feel like Empres and all the dedicated staff at Empres Hillsboro has gone above and beyond to protect residents/patients and staff form covid-19. This is so important as I feel like they are part of my extended family. Times are tough (healthcare is tough) and I appreciate the level of protection that has been provided.

My mom was a resident at this location. The staff worked very diligently to make my mom comfortable and to meet all her needs. She was able to shorten her stay due to the quick progress she made with therapy. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this facility to others.

I apologize but they do not have anything lower than a 1 star or I would have given this place less than a quarter. First off...the Nurses and CNAs try their very best to take care of their Patients, and I do appreciate everything they have done for my dad during his stay there for 2 weeks. I've been working as a surgical nurse for the last 22 years, so I'm very familiar with the field. However, I do not care much at all about the administrator Natalie. She was very rude, and unprofessional. I spoke to her in many occasions and each conversation is as frustrating as the other. She would not let me finish my sentences, she would always interrupt me, and she would verbally point out...atleast 4-5 times....that she is the "Executive Director". Ok, I get it!!, you're the big boss lady...but my questions were never answered, my requests from her were never addressed properly. I heard her speak to other patients and families and she does the same thing to them. I heard how she talks to her staff. Like they're her maids. My dad also laid in his bed for over 2 hours waiting for his pain medication. when i came in after he phoned me, I heard the staff telling each other how exhausted they were from working short staffed for the last few days. And how the administrator would not let them call in sick, and makes them come to work ill....This really scared me, I cannot leave my dad on a hostile, unsafe environment like that, so I decided to get him out of there, and transferred him somewhere else. Never bring your loved ones to that place!!!!

We provide all of the furniture your elderly parent needs in their room. However, to make it feel like home, most skilled nursing centers encourage residents to bring personal items such as family photos, a familiar bedspread, and treasured knickknacks.
Physicians generally see residents upon admission and once every 30 days thereafter. Though the physicians aren’t there every day, our nursing staff is in constant communication with each physician that visits the facility.
Residents may take a leave of absence with a physician’s authorization, which can be arranged through the nursing staff. Residents who take a leave of absence must check in and out with the leave of absence (LOA) book at the nursing station.
Please make sure to check with the nursing staff before bringing food in to ensure the food complies with special diets. Any food kept in resident rooms must be in a properly sealed container.
