Yes, I fish and hike regularly. I have never camped there. All state parks are like that.

Yes, but you must have a valid fishing license and pay the appropriate parking fee.

Definitely. We have a daily per car parking fee of $4 you would pay (unless you have a Virginia State Parks annual parking pass) and you would have to have a fishing license.

Yes, but I believe you must pay the entrance fee and have your fresh water fishing license for VA.

Yes, you can fish at the nearby Bent Creek ramp too. They also rent kayaks, which is a great way to fish the river.
