Great volunteers and employees there. Very knowledgeable and willing to talk and share their knowledge with anyone who will listen.

I love visiting here when I get the chance. Despite our difficult history as a nation, it is still important to learn from it. This place allows such an experience. I love getting to visit the visitors center, as there are some great items for sale, and it offers a bit of history on the battlefield. There is also a very nice walking trail, but it can get muddy at times. There's always something to do regardless of the time of the year.

Was part of relay race and this was one of the transition area. Got a chance to walk around and enjoy the park. I'll have to explore more in the future when I have more time. Staff was very friendly.

Oh no... they close at 5 and I arrived @ 5:30 🙄. Since I still have a couple hours to drive to get to my destination, I drove around for a little bit and located Stop 1 Confederate High Tide. The Battlefield is very clean and spacious. It has informative historic markers and signs. If you have time, I highly recommend doing the entire driving tour.

You'd have to get in touch with a local reenactment group near you. There are local chapters of SUV's (sons of union veterans) and SCV'S (sons of confederate veterans ) , all over the eastern U.S. A lot of them have Facebook pages. If you look up "civil war reenactment", you should be able to find a lead or something to go on who could help you into what you're looking for.
Visiting the grounds at Bentonville and doing the driving tour can be done in under two hours easily. I highly recommended doing the two walking loops here as well to get an up close experience. The one near the visitors center is 1.5 miles, and the other just down the road is two miles long. The grounds around the visitors center and the center itself are closed on Sundays, but the driving and walking tours are not.
How tall is what?
I believe so. The paths were all smooth when we went. Just watch the weather
Last Spring they were still selling Confederate flags. I'm sure you can still buy Confederate flags in North or South Carolina.
