The park was founded in 1965, and it became a Historic Monument in 1996..The Harper House was built in the 1850"s, and served as a hospital for the Union Army in March of 1865. The park is well with seeing. The film is excellent and the displays are informational. The grounds are peaceful.
The Harper House was built in the late 1850's. The battle of Bentonville was in March, 1865.
