You'd have to get in touch with a local reenactment group near you. There are local chapters of SUV's (sons of union veterans) and SCV'S (sons of confederate veterans ) , all over the eastern U.S. A lot of them have Facebook pages. If you look up "civil war reenactment", you should be able to find a lead or something to go on who could help you into what you're looking for.
Dress in regalia from an 1860s Union regiment, go to the park and refuse to leave. You are now a reenactor.
Stop by the Bentonville battlefield. Talk with the director of the park.
There is a lot of info on the internet about it. Gettysburg and some other places do it once a yr and list times of when they will be doing them.
